“Amazing”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Do the city tour and it takes you to Mount Coot-tha, the views are awesome. You can see the lay of the Brisbane River as well as looking almost all the way around. Can see for miles. Well worth the trip.

“It's a view at least”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

Nothing special about this. Just a lookout over Brisbane which is probably good on a clear day! The lookout is merely the start or finish to the various walks to be enjoyed.

“Excellent views, literally all around!”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Very easy to get to, clean and well setup for visitors. Parking could be an issue, so get there early if you are visiting during holidays or on weekends.

“Walk to the Lookout!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

It is a steady, maybe 45 minute, up hill walk from the Slaughter Falls carpark to the Mt Coot-tha Lookout, but well worth it. Children enjoy the walk and can have a cool drink or an icecream at the top. There is a tap or two on the way if you forgot your water bottle, and toilets at the start. You access the car park from Sir Samuel Griffith Drive near Birdwood Terrace (if you are into more uphills you could always walk from the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens bus stop to the Slaughter Falls car park). The first part is just a bitumen road from the initial carpark to the second carpark, not at all busy and with BBQs, then it becomes dirt as you head up hill. There are a couple of side paths but if you keep on the main path, which is very wide and obvious, eventually you get to Sir Samuel Griffith Drive again near the Lookout. Turn left onto the road and cross it - watch out for tourists in cars and buses as you cross!. You will see a little carpark and go up this to the Lookout. There are toilets there, a cafe and a restaurant, and fabulous views to Moreton Bay and inland. It costs nothing to park at the Lookout and it costs nothing to walk but you'll enjoy it even more if you have walked!

“Amazing views of Brisbane”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view sipping a coffee and just take in the moment. I often take overseas visitors here particularly if they donot have a lot of time in Brisbane
