Stayed here for business for three nights and found it more than adequate. It was quite nice having a little balcony (even if you did smell the XXXX brewery from 100m away...) and the ability to make yourself a cup of tea whenever you wanted. The rooms aren't big, but they are clean and tidy and quiet overall... I'd have no issues staying here again for work. There are great cafe's for food just up the road and the taxi into the city is only about A$12 one way. The river is right next door and I'd say if you got a room facing out onto the river, the view would be lovely... Also felt very safe, with the outside doors locking from 9pm till 7am and no access without a door card. Overall, small and a bit tired but clean, tidy and reasonable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing out to the river for great views.

Hi there 3Kiwiflyers,

Thank you for taking the time to review us – and welcome to Brisbane.

You will be pleased to read that we’re currently undergoing a full refurbishment on all rooms at the property to transform the hotel into 5-star standards. I’m confident this will rectify your concerns with regards to the rooms being tired.

We also think the location is great! We are fortunate enough to be close to some great restaurants and especially the river. We are quite close to the iconic XXX Brewery meaning from time to time we do get slight smells.

Don't forget that Central Apartments have two more properties around Brisbane where you can also expect the same wonderful service and value for money.

Thank you again for your comments; we truly appreciate it.

Best wishes

Stayed two nights in a 2 bedroom apartment, didn’t get a river view and the included Wi-Fi made up for this. The reception staff are helpful and professional. The apartment was well equipped but we didn't prepare food as we were only staying two nights.

There are shops and restaurants within a few steps of the apartments. Many of which will bill back to your room which is very convenient. 20 to 30 mins walk to Southbank and the city along walking paths

The 2 bedroom apartment was clean, large and pleasantly furnished. It had a queen bed, a single bed and a double sofa bed which was very uncomfortable for an adult. We moved the furniture in the single room put the mattress from the fold out bed on the floor and our youngest slept on it there. I was aware of the bedroom configuration as I had enquired by email and had been told about the foldout bed.

I thought it was odd that the second room was divided from the sitting room by a sliding slatted door which did not close flush with the wall? So if the kids were in bed we had to be very quiet, not a major problem just odd.

Good location to stroll to city along the river.

Greetings from Brisbane kellyfifi.

Thank you for a pleasant review!

We’re excited to say that while you didn’t see us fitting in the luxury category during your stay this time, we’re currently undergoing a full refurbishment on all rooms at the property to transform the hotel into 5-star standards. We’re confident this will meet your expectations during your next stay.

You’re comments regarding the bedding and sliding doors have been noted – thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We agree and also think we’re in a prime location with many restaurants and bars within metres as well as being so close to the river, South Bank and the City.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to review us and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Best wishes

Parking is inexpensive and easily accessible, the reception staff are helpful and professional, there are heaps of shops and restaurants within a few steps of the apartments. Public transport is a few paces. Many of the restaurants will bill back to your room which is extremely convenient and civilised. We stayed in a deluxe apartment which was well equipped but we didn't feel the need to prepare food with so many restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean, large and pleasantly furnished, overall it was great value for money.

Room Tip: The higher rooms have a view of Brisbane river

Hi 292fiona292,

Wow – thank you for your kind words. It’s always a pleasure to receive such positive comments like this.

I’m delighted to read you found our reception staff helpful and professional – I will most certainly pass on your comments; the team will be thrilled.

Park Rd, Milton is such a happening little spot with great restaurants and bars nearby. I’m glad you had the chance to experience this yourself and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back next time.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review.

See you next time!

I recently stayed in the central cosmo apartments in Brisbane and would recommend it for anyone looking for a weekend stay! the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location was great...about 1/2 hr walk into the city and about 10 mins using the city cycle bikes which you can pick up on park road and ride along the river, all the way into the city, on great bike paths! a taxi ride cost us between $10-20 from the city.
Walking away from the river on park rd, you come across a nice collection of restaurants and an 'eiffell tower' that lights up at night. well worth a look, as well as a pizza place that sells metre long pizzas if you are game! the suncorp stadium is within walking distance (about 1-2km) as is the xxxx brewery.
the 2 bedroom apartment had a queen bed, a single bed and a double sofa bed (which was a bit uncomfortable for 2 people but ok). it was tidy and the kitchen facilities were quite adequate if you wanted a night in. I was told to request the riverview room (if available of course) and it had great views from the balcony of the Brisbane river and city.
there is a small sauna n a couple of pieces of gym equipment but we didn't use it this time.
lovely apartment and I would definitely stay there again! thanks!

Room Tip: request the riverview room if available.

I stayed in the Junior Suit, it was a cold and dark room and views of a wall and buildings, the mattress was old and very uncountable, sunk in the middle. The mini bar food were out of date, the plates, cups, knives and forks and glasses were all very dirty. The TV , DVD and furnishings didn't look like they had been dusted for months and as for the bathroom, not very clean. The hot water took forever to get hot, the furnishings need an update, by the look of the foyer and outside of the building, I expected more for your money. I will not stay at the motel again.

I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with a view of Brisbane city and the brewery and I thought it was a massive apartment for the room rate.
It had a great size kitchen, lounge, bedroom with heaps of hanging space and bathroom with laundry. Our head office is a 2 min walk so the location was perfect.
Don't expect too much as its fully self service but don't worry you just walk out the front door and Park street is full of every style of food you can imagine.
We had breakfast at the coffee club every day.
Parking was easy with a central lift straight to your floor.
I would recommend for business travellers if they want this area and lots of space or families visiting Brisbane, however it's not the CBD area.
Great for getting straight on the freeway to any part of Brisbane.
I was very happy with my 4 day stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel - it is one of the best I have stayed in. The staff are outstanding - I have never received such good service and genuine concern for any problems. The rooms are very comfortable with a nice compact kitchen and lounge with separate bedroom/s and bathroom. I will always be staying there!

Room Tip: I have stayed there twice and all rooms are great, just depends how many bedrooms you want.
