Pretty much what you see is what you get...I have been on this 3 times now with the kids and to take family members on who are visiting me in Brissie. The first time I paid full price but the next 2 trips I got vouchers from Living social for half the price which was great value. The view from the top is amazing and I think you get between 3 to 5 revolutions of the wheel...it's all over in less than 10 mins. They do try to sell you an information book and photos but you don't have to buy them. I've only seen it really busy once where the queue was very long, most days you can get on fairly quickly, weekends are obviously busier than mid week. There is parking near by but you will pay a fortune for any parking in south bank, it's quicker and probably cheaper to get there by ferry. It's not on my "must do" list for things to do in Brisbane but if you are in South Bank and want to do the sights then it's ok....I think they would get more trade if their standard price was cheaper.

The view and ride is great. As a local I found the price off putting. Possibly they're only targeting the tourists which is why it's alway empty. But i did enjoy the view during the day. Didn't take my interest to do it again at night.

Our daughter loved this ride and it went a lot longer than we expected. The morning we went was clear skies and sunny which made the view very worth it, and it would be spectacular at night. We bought voucher through LivingSocial Deals which made it great value for money even for the VIP ride.

Went on the Wheel for the first time. I had never thought to get on the wheel its been in Brisbane for many years. Its expensive but the views are great you can't see the Story bridge but the river views and Mt Coo-tha views are great. For the price paid you do get many rotations of the wheel and you get the opportunity pause at the top for a couple of minutes whilst they load more customers on the lowest pods. At the end of the ride they offer you a photo booklet with the you and the family/friends that got on the ride superimposed into Brisbane scenery its good stuff. Next time I might try the wheel at night I know that Brisbane is lit up nicely at night and I know that Riverfire must look great from the wheel of Brisbane. The Wheel is located 3 minutes walk from the Southbank Restaurants (Stanley street) 3 minutes from South Brisbane Station
