This is a great spot when you want a serious pig out and lots of variety. Overlooking the harbour (but no sunset)' it is a good location situated at the start of the wharf, with free parking.
Very attentive staff, who get your drink order quickly, then remove plates from your table with continous lightning speed. This is great as you don't look like you are overindulging.
At $35 per head, the buffet includes Asian, steaks, seafood cooked vegetables, and a great dessert bar. The oysters were Australian, but the other seafood imported, which is disappointing, and the salad range is light on. They will cook your steak to order, which is a better option as they have a leathery taste when sitting too long. My husband ignored dessert and focused on pork belly.
We sat outside which would not be an option once the humidity kicked in.
Overall, it is a fun night out, with value for money.
Tip: go early

We walked around the wharf looking for somewhere to eat with our 2 girls (7 and 8 yrs). We didn't want anywhere too fancy but wanted a nice view. We were told about the Jetty by a shop owner on the wharf. We didn't want to walk all the way around to the Stokes Hill wharf area as it seemed far after walking from Mitchell st in town. The Jetty is a buffet restaurant right on the water. We may have missed it if we weren't told about it. We walked in at about 6.30pm on a Saturday night without a booking and were accommodated outside (at my request) although we had to settle for 2 tables near each other. Kids were happy as they love buffet and felt grown up sitting alone! It was a lovely warm winters night and we were seated right over the water which was so lovely. However, I would not have eaten here if it were not for the location outside. It is a cheap buffet (about $40 for adults and about $20 for kids) and the food is exactly what you would expect for this price. There was also a long queue constantly because there was only one area to get the food, including dessert so everyone lined up at the same time constantly. The inside tables were all crammed in and constantly busy. I have no idea why you would come here unless you were seated outside (!). Certainly not for the food! Having said that we were happy as we wanted a fairly cheap casual meal with a nice view so it suited us. Nice staff too.

At $35 per head for all you can eat buffet including seafood, chinese food, steak, roast meats, sides and desserts, my husband loved the oysters he ate heaps and i love seafood so this was perfect for us. The food was great and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Love the bowls for the shells and the water bowls to wash your hands, which were changed all the time. The view over the water was great. Would definetly recommend to eat here. Great value all around.Ate here twice while in darwin and will be returning next time.

We went here on a reccomendation and were disappointed. Really don;t understand what the fuss is all about. It was an average buffet all you can eat, and we are always wary about these. The prawns and oysters although plentiful were bland. The steaks although not tasted looked like pieces of leather. Salt and pepper squid was pretty good although all salt and no pepper. The vegetables and the fruit platters were about the best of everything and the other desserts were straight from a Sarah Lee box!
Great location and they are not stingy on the spirits in your drink. At $35 a head for the buffet, I think lots of food but the quality just wasn't there.
