Owner description: Berry Springs Nature Park, is a great location close to Darwin where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and a BBQ. A great place to unwind after spending a day at the Territory Wildlife Park. Please check our website for access to swimming. During the wet season, October-April, the pools may be closed when swimming is considered to be unsafe.

Visited Berry Springs for the first time in 30 years. Was disappointed that the swimming holes were all closed off due to the wet season and crocs!!! Oh well, I'd rather not share the water!! Beautiful area, worth the drive.

Berry Springs is a fantastic place to take the family for a swim in the water. The surrounding area is beautiful, well worth the trip. Some handy tips with Berry Springs are as follows:
1. Berry Springs can often close due to issues with Crocodiles - Try to contact an Information centre prior to departing as it will be a dissapointment if you arrive and the swimming is closed.
2. There are very clean BBQ areas available; take advantage of these as there are no real fast food options available for lunch.
3. Berry Springs reserve is monitored by patrol officers and has a closing time which I believe is 6pm but Im not certain- this should be checked.

The setting, the water, the whole rainforest atmosphere is out of this world. Even the threat of crocs can't keep me away from this amazing place.

Berry Springs is close to Darwin. It's a great place to take the family for a picnic and a swim in the water either, sitting in the rapids or in the quiet pool. Can get very busy in the dry season.
