Visiting Darwin with friends from Germany and Melbourne, we wanted a restaurant that served good, simple fare to satisfy those of us who wanted good seafood and children who wanted a plain chicken parmigiana. None was disappointed. We were seated quickly in the outdoor area, the self-check menu ordering form explained and we were off. Prices are good for Darwin and entrées came quickly with the main courses following within 10 minutes nor so. Nice atmosphere and great staff. Tucked away in a back street, well-worth the effort.

My boyfriend and i stumbled across this by accident about 5 minutes before they closed.. The staff were very welcoming and did not mind sitting us down for some food... Tim was actually there interacting with the customers.. i thought this was very impressive, something you do not see in big cities!! Also the seafood was FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!! if i ever travel the world again, i'm coming back Tim!!

Tim's Surf N Turf is the oasis of Darwin. Tim,the owner, is positively the best and the food is great. He treated us to dinner after closing time when we had just gotten back from an outback adventure and in need of dinner and a cold tinny. All the restaurants were closing and he graciously made us dinner with wine and beer. What an amazing guy!!! He is a true ambassador for Australia, the Northern Territory and Darwin in particular. And he is a magician!!! I highly recommend it and be sure to meet Tim.

Tim's service is extraordinary; he is extremely attentive and takes great efforts to call everyone by their first names. I came for dinner and lunch the next day, he still remembers my name! No table is left alone without Tim performing a short magic trick or some jokes.

On the food, may not be top gourmet, but for the price, you can't find this anywhere! Loved the chick Parma and croc meats.

This place is a must-go for every trip to Darwin, makes you feel proud in front of friends who are first-timers!

great atmosphere. very family friendly and also noticed large groups of celebrating locals. staff were nvery attentive, knowledgable and friendly. But of course you go to a restaurant for food - and you won't be disappointed here. Meals were H U G E. My chicken parma was about the size of a whole chook - chicken was moist and tender too - not dried out like most parmas. The wedges were the crispiest I've ever had. Will definitely be going back when next in town.
