“Would definitely stay here again.”

I stayed in one of the studio apartments. This had a king sized bed which could be split into 2 singles. The bathroom had a large shower cubicle - no bath. The shower worked well. There was a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink, hob, china, galsses, pots and pans. Washing up liquid, wash cloth, tea towels all provided. I was very impressed with the kitchenette. Everything was really clean.
A/C really efficient and there was a ceiling fan.
Good TV reception and DVDs for hire in reception.
There was a guest laundry (the larger apartments have a washing machine).
People in reception were really helpful and friendly.
There was internet access which I did not use - I think there may have been a charge. There was a well stocked Woolworths next door. Tour buses pick up at the Travelodge across the road.
This was a very nice place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it.

We cancelled our booking and moved to another hotel because the Quest's internet was sporadic at best.

I realise that this is not crucial for all travellers, but we needed the internet for work.

Apart from that we had no major complaints, except that balcony was unusable because the aircon blows hot air directly onto it.

Stayed 3 nights in the Quest Apartments.

They are centrally located. The pool is small but partly shaded which helps when the sun is soo strong in Darwin.

The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Overall a great stay with no problems.

When travelling with three people it's much more cost effective and convenient to stay at serviced apartments such as Quest which was our main reason for choosing to spend three nights here. We have previously stayed in the one in Melbourne which was brand new and had high expectations. It did not disappoint.

We arrived after midnight and you need to press a button and be let in by reception as the doors are locked. In the morning we walked a few doors down to a regular sized Safeway/Woolworths store to buy breakfast supplies for the next few mornings. So much cheaper and better choice than having hotel breakfasts.

Didn’t use the pool facilities or even go and look. We stayed on a Sunday and it's frustrating not to have the rooms made up that day.

Overall, very clean, rooms were well stocked with all you'd expect, staff were friendly. Highly recommend a stay here.

  • Liked — great to have two bedrooms and all be together
  • Disliked — no room servicing on Sundays

I have stayed at several places in Darwin. During high season it can be a nightmare finding accommodation in Darwin.
After moving around for 3 month, I finally got a 1 bed room apartment at the Quest Darwin. I am very pleased with it.
The apartments are fairly new and well furnished. You get a real kitchen and laundry facilities with your flat.

There is Azure wireless internet available, but as you would expect, the reception and speed is not really great.
If anything, I would complain about the poor TV programming. If I pay good money to stay at this place, I don’t understand why they can’t buy a decent Pay TV package.

The reception desk staff is a mixed bag. Some are very friendly; some can’t even be bothered to look up when you walk passed. I think the lady who is the manager, isn’t really a good example herself when it comes to smiling.
The house keeping staff, on the bright side, is very nice, and perhaps it would be a better idea to have them behind the reception desk and let some of the grumpy reception desk staff scrub the toilets.

  • Liked — Full kitchen and laundry facilities
  • Disliked — TV programming
  • Tips/Secrets — Don't choose the Studio. Take at least a one bedroom.

To all interested we spent 2 weeks in Darwin. We took our cycles with us from Melbourne and spent 2 lovely weeks cycling all over and around Darwin.
The cycle tracks are great and cover most of the built up areas. It is easy cycling, very flat!
We were a group of four, all senior cyclists, and found it a good way to get around.
There is a lot to see,we found the Aviation museum very interesting, also the Parliament house was beautiful.
We stayed at Quest Apartments, service was excellent, and location was ideal.Next to a supermarket which was great for a fully equipped apartment right in the centre of town.
Very good meals are available at the Casino for a reasonable cost.
