Owner description: Outback Floatplane Adventures is the only way to see the Northern Territory! Designed by Matt Wright, National Geographic's 'Outback Wrangler', the Ultimate Outback Tour is a once in a lifetime experience that is designed to allow you to see all that the Northern Territory has to offer in one action packed adventure! AIRBOATS - HELICOPTERS - FLOATPLANES - SCENIC CRUISES. Suitable for everyone, this half day tour begins with a courtesy air-conditioned coach transfer to Darwin Airport, from where you will depart on a 30-minute scenic flight complete with a spectacular Floatplane landing on the waters of our remote lagoon. Sit back and relax as we cruise along the waterway enjoying a hearty breakfast or BBQ Barramundi lunch, encountering various wildlife along the way. Next, we whisk you away on a helicopter flight from the roof of our vessel, flying over the local wetlands and on to our off-road buggy. Touchdown and take off on a journey through the ancient rainforest canopies as we head down to the airboat. Of course we save the best until last, with our exhilarating ride aboard Gale Force, our state of the art airboat. Gliding over the wetlands and through the rainforest channels, getting up close and personal with big saltwater crocodiles. This experience ticks all the boxes, and being a half day long, action packed adventure, it's the perfect way to experience all that the Top End has to offer in the most exciting way possible!

Have just got back from our fabulous "Ultimate Tour" with Matt Wright (Outback Floatplane Adventures). We enjoyed every part of the package, which included seaplane, helicopter, and airboat (which really got the heart racing), together with a yummy breakfast, beautiful scenery and not forgetting the informative and fun staff. We even got to throw in a line at the back of the boat and caught a fish. It was so much fun and good value for money. Matt has definitely got one of the best jobs in the world with all those boys toys.

“Best experience I have had in years”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

Sea plane, helicopter, air boat, crocodiles, delicious food, and friendly and professional local staff - what more could you want! There was more than enough big toys to get my adrenaline pumping, and it was also really lovely to just float down the river in an untouched and tranquil part of the Northern Territory. So much native wildlife to see. Also, make sure you take your swimming gear, the croc safe cage is a great way to cool off after all the action. Very very impressed.

“So many toys to play with.....what an awesome day!!”
Reviewed May 5, 2014 via mobile

WOW...!!! How much fun can you have in 6 hours....the team at outback floatplanes will show you....!
First toy.. Jump on a floatplane at the Darwin airport and head to the Finnis River, where you land on the water at a beautiful lagoon...
Second toy...pull up next to a beautiful cruise boat where our pilot then puts on her (yes her) chefs hat to cook us a very yummy breakfast....
Third toy.... Climb aboard their very fast airboat and hang on...!!
We travelled up and around the water ways seeing the magnificent top end at her best....amazing bird life, wild life, the rainforrest and wetlands, and yes....the crocs......And the odd donut on the water just thrown in for good fun!!
Back to the cruise boat for the fourth toy....the helicopter that's parked on the top deck...you can get some fantastic photos from the air....especially as there's no doors on the chopper!
Once back on board the boat you can relax with cool drinks, tea or coffee and a dip in the croc-safe pool to soak in the experience of the whole adventure.
It wasn't all about the toys....the staff members were professional at all times with excellent knowledge of the area, great personalities and a great sense of humor and they generally love what they do....which just made for a FUN DAY!!!!
I have lived in the top end for 11 years now and have done a number of tours...but this one wins by a mile....every family and friend that comes to visit me now will be doing this tour...it will make a big dent in anyone's bucket list!
Thank for the awesome day.....I'll be back!! :)
