The Hotel is situated very close to the inner city area, very convenient for shopping and eating out. Initially we ( my friend and I wanted a twin room) were put in a room on the ground floor that was the size of a shoebox, looked out onto the undercover car park, and smelt awful. We asked for another room. The staff were very obliging, but the next room we were shown, which was also on the ground floor, smelt like the first room. We were staying 3 nights at the hotel, and both agreed that we couldn't stay in a room that smelt like that. We were prepared to go elsewhere if they couldn't find us a better room. We were then given a room on the 8th floor. It was fine, very comfortable and nice, but we had to share a bed. We didn't care by then, it was king size, so we didn't complain as we felt we'd already been enough trouble. Other than that, the hotel was very nice. We never ate there so cannot comment on the food. The staff were very helpful. All hotels in Darwin are expensive, it seemed to be a reasonable deal.
