My partner and I were in Darwin and wanted to experience the natural wonders of both Kakadu and Litchfield Nationalpark.

We knew that we would get the best experiences by going on a tour that lasted 2 or 3 days - but we only had short time in Darwin, and Offroad Dreaming offered a wonderful day-tour to each of the parks. They even gave a discount when booking both tours!

We had a very good experience on each tour with stunning landscapes, excellent guided talks, cultural heritage art, swimming and close wildlife encounters. Thanks to our guides Adam (Kakadu) and Neville (Litchfield) for guiding us with passion and extensive knowledge.

The included boat tour with an aboriginal guide on Alligator River (Kakadu) and with 'Pat' on Adelaide River to see the saltwater crocs (Litchfield) were phenomenal.

Last but not least - lunch was great!!

Picked up on time from hotel. Friendly and informative driver. Plenty of time to enjoy the waterholes and waterfall swims and scenery.
The boat trip on the Adelaide River fantastic. Interesting, exciting and fun. Saw lots of crocodiles in and out of the water.

We got picked up at 5:15am and were back at our hotel around 7:30pm. This was a very long day, but the tour was well worth it.

One other commenter said you'd be better off driving it yourself. Due to risks associated with self-driving (hitting Wallaroos, Wallaby, Cows, etc.) You would need to wait for sunrise and return before sunset. This would be very hard to do if driving yourself. Adam is very knowledgeable and was a great guide, explaining the rock art and offering amusing commentary as we went along.

Insect repellent, SPF 30+ sun block, a wide brimmed hat, and a 1.5 to 2 litre water bottle are a must! The flies were all over, although not biting, they were very annoying. Our insect repellent wasn't sufficient.

The look out at Ubirr Rock was amazing. The boat tour was nice, but due to recent rainfall there were no crocs that we saw.

The Lichfield Escapes 1 day tour we did the following day had jumping crocs and we saw tons. Highly recommend doing both!

We went on two tours with this company, a discount was offered for more than 1 tour. We initially went to Litchfield Falls. With 2 teenagers its very difficult to get them excited but they loved this tour. Adam was our driver on both days and he offered a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts. The afternoon of Litchfield we went on the Adelaide River to experience a crocodile cruise. This is where we met Pat, the custodian of the river and the crocs....amazing knowledge and commentary a real Aussie wizard.
We also visited Kakudu, which a day full of Dreaming stories and cultural information which Adam made come to life. My daughter was suffering from dehydration and Adam kindly drove us to Thai restaurant in Kakudu!! to recover.
2 fantastic days. Thank you!

We went out with Offroad in September for both the Kakadu and Litchfield tours. Kakadu was mind blowing. It was fascinating to learn more about the aboriginal culture, how long they've been on the continent, and to see the rock art. We had a great guide to learn more. Kakadu is quite far so be prepared for a long drive.

Litchfield was cool to see as well, especially the termite mounds, and crocodile river tour. We gained a new appreciation for those apex predators.

Would definitely recommend Offroad for the tours.
