“Great Waves all day long....”
Review of Wave Lagoon

Owner description: One of the Waterfront's coolest attractions is the Wave Lagoon: a palm-fringed swimming pool that turns into a tube-riding, boogie-boarding bucket of fun when the waves roll in every 20 minutes. The fully patrolled Wave Lagoon is two metres at its deepest point and slopes to a shallow area of still water, perfect for families. Bring your book: there are plenty of banana lounges, beach umbrellas and shady patches of lawn. Aqua Zumba classes every Sunday from 9am are a HUGE hit with tourists and locals alike.

“Great Waves all day long....”
Reviewed September 1, 2014

The Wave Lagoon is just great for all the family. Plenty of room around the outside to lay back and relax, whilst the kids have a ball swimming in the wave pool. The waves machine runs quite regularly, with around 20 minutes on and a 10 minute break in between. The waves are great and suitable for all ages. They supply boards and other floating rings as well, free of charge. The cost is reasonable to get in, I think around $17AUS for a family, or $7AUS for an adult.
Close to shops and amenities, so you can eat close by, right near the Darwin Waterfront. We had dinner on the Waterfront after spending an afternoon swimming. Certainly a place to go if you are in Darwin..

“Refreshing”

Just perfect, Darwin is so hot and you can not swim at the beaches so it was great to have somewhere to go and cool down.

“Great for kids, young and old”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

Never swam this time as wasn't a swimming holiday but a definite next time. Great for kids, young and old. Plenty of soft green lawn to lay on.

“Awesome Afternoon”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

I never expected this, a Wave pool right in the heart of Darwin, the amazing views and safe area make it a great place to stop for an afternoon of activities.

The onsite life guards are courteous and make sure everyone has a great time.

Loved it

“exhausting afternoon of fun”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

the waves last a good 20 minutes each go.
excellent fun for the big kids amongst us (let alone the children).
The free use of giant inflatable ring floats and noodles was great - it was just a pity that some people tried to hog them.
At $7 for an adult for the whole day - this was great value for money. Even better was the family ticket (2 adults + 3 children) for $18
