Owner description: One of the Waterfront's coolest attractions is the Wave Lagoon: a palm-fringed swimming pool that turns into a tube-riding, boogie-boarding bucket of fun when the waves roll in every 20 minutes. The fully patrolled Wave Lagoon is two metres at its deepest point and slopes to a shallow area of still water, perfect for families. Bring your book: there are plenty of banana lounges, beach umbrellas and shady patches of lawn. Aqua Zumba classes every Sunday from 9am are a HUGE hit with tourists and locals alike.

Loved the cost, $18 for 2A and 2C for as long as you liked. It was clean, not over crowded and kept the kids entertained for hours!

We had a great time at the wave pool. Good value for money. Great way to spend a few hours. Easy walking distance from anywhere in the CBD.

Easy to find at the Waterfront precinct, park in the public car park for a shady spot. Area is clean and it's easy to keep an eye on the kids. Not large waves, more like constant choppy water, but pleasant enough and cool. Close to eateries.

We took the kids here to waste a few hours one afternoon. After eventually finding the way into the pool (not clearly marked) and paying the fee, we went to try to find a nice spot to set up camp. Unfortunately the lounge chairs are few and far between and as precious as gold. If you can nab one (or two) you are doing well. Nonetheless, there is plenty of shady grassed areas to put your things under.

After the initial confusion of whether we had to purchase blow up tubes and boogey boards (they are for sale at the kiosk) we realised that there is a certain quantity owned by the pool available for people to use. They do not tell you this when entering, maybe hoping that you will purchase the ones for sale.

The kids enjoyed spending a few hours there playing in the waves. We thought that food/drinks would be readily available but the kiosk is a reasonable walk away and there isn't much variety. I would suggest packing yourselves snacks, nibbles and drinks.

Parking was easy - we parked our car in the Precinct area with no troubles. Afterwards, we went to Stokes Hill Warf for dinner by the Harbour.

Went there the waves were pathetic more like choppy little swells then waves, the settings are nice but as for a wave forget it you have to be some one who obviously don't know what a wave is the place is a big disappointment to say the least
