“Great”
5 of 5 bubbles Review of Wave Lagoon

Owner description: One of the Waterfront's coolest attractions is the Wave Lagoon: a palm-fringed swimming pool that turns into a tube-riding, boogie-boarding bucket of fun when the waves roll in every 20 minutes. The fully patrolled Wave Lagoon is two metres at its deepest point and slopes to a shallow area of still water, perfect for families. Bring your book: there are plenty of banana lounges, beach umbrellas and shady patches of lawn. Aqua Zumba classes every Sunday from 9am are a HUGE hit with tourists and locals alike.

“Great”

We loved the wave pool and so did our 3 and 1 year old. Was the cheapest 'activity' we did in Darwin and one of the best.

“Fun in the sun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

Great fun, waves are on in 10minute cycles so there is time for fun and for a swim in the calm water too. Floatation rings are there and there are some sun lounges and plenty of grassy spots to sit on. Get yourself a locker when you get your ticket, and stash your valuables. It's great to be in the water and not have to be vigilant about your stuff. Relaxing and fun - great value for money and no crocs!!!

“Great way to beat the heat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

Great fun for the kids. Be aware of the concrete bottom, waves can knock the little ones off their feet and if you are in the shallow enough water a graze can occur from the pool surface. Great fun for a few hours though and great way to beat the stifling heat. Reasonably priced and great for the older kids.

“Lots of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

This is a great pool, right in the wharf precinct of Darwin. Very reasonable entry fee, and the great thing is, you can come and go on the one day as you get a colour coded wrist band.

Half day and full day entry permits available, also has a toddlers pool under shade. Swim rings and boogie boards supplied free.

Highly recommend any age!

“Family fun fun fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

Darwin is stinking hot. The Wavepool was a great place to hang out to cool down and have fun. My partner hung out with the children whilst I was at a conference right next to the wavepool.
$5 for half a day and $5 for lockers
