“Lovely reserve and beaches”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

If you like to walk or cycle then East Point Reserve is ideal. We took the bus to Fannie Bay and then walked the reserve which also has the Military Museum at its tip. If walking isn't your thing then there are nice beaches on which to soak up the sun and a nice park area for picnicking.

“A great place for a daily constitutional!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

This is just another gem in this wonderful city. Darwin has so much to offer. There's a really lovely 6 or 7k walk around the perimeter of the reserve with great coastal views, some stunning properties, the mangrove boardwalk, the military museum - lots to do. And after enjoying the walk, treat yourself at the Fannie Bay Cool Spot cafe - see my separate review.

“Good View Of Central Darwin”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Need to drive here but the drive is worth it as the scenery is rewarding. You can get a view of central Darwin form here. You can also relax and swim at Alexander Lake. The sunset here is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Saw a Wedding party conducted here.

The people who created this reserve and the museum should receive Australian awards for their service to preserving this country's history. Lest we forget!

“An all time favourite spot”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

East Point reserve is a location I return to regularly as a local due to the diverse landscapes with the changing tides and weather that can be enjoyed. I've taken my husband there for romantic picnics at sunrise and my family enjoyed lying by Lake Alexander when they visited from the UK. It could be an entire day trip with the military museum, the mangrove boardwalk and relaxing at multiple locations along the coastline.
