We love the Deckchair "Outdoor" Cinema, It is unique & filled with thought's of yesteryear when outdoor viewing was abundant, great place to experience throughout the dry season with quality movies.

Deckchair Cinema runs in the dry season it a wonderful experience. The combination of a starry night next to the water is so atmospheric and unique. An extensive program of films from around the world run every night accompanied by mango ice cream. A must experience.

This is a really great place to sit outside and watch a film in very comfortable deck chairs. There is a bar and the view of the sunset is spectacular - a must see.

I arrived at the Deckchair Cinema while it was still daylight and kicked back with a nice cool Savignon Blanc, while i waited for my friend to arrive. we had a fab dinner it was Tuesday so the catering was taken care of by Nadeem from "Flavours of Demascus" and believe me when i say Flavour is the epitome of what we ate, my special lady ate the authentic vegetarian dish while i went with the delicious "chicken freekah" and we ate and drank wine while bathed in the glow of the sunset over Darwin harbour. the movie was a real Aussie fare "The Merger" a comedy about mateship and belonging in a similar vein to "Reddog" with hilarious scenes mixed with a little bit of sadness, just to remind us all that even though we all live in the lucky country there are still those who have come here from places that are not so lucky and on long and dangerous roads. so do yourself a favour and get down to the Deckchair Cinema a Real Darwin experience that is even better than the "Sun Pictures in Broome" the Beautiful sea breeze kept it cool. We had a visit from a possum about three quarters through the movie but the laughter was genuine and contagious and the movie was given top marks on the blackboard at the end of the night. Darwin people are good judges and welcoming newcomers is one thing they do realy well.

What a great little place to watch a movie with the ocean only metres away. Grab dinner and a beer al fresco before the movie here too. A great experience and ‘must do’ whilst in Darwin.

Fabulous setting, great movies, great entertainment and great catering. It's a beautiful place to watch the sun go down before settling in to a movie.

My partner and I weren't sure what do to with our last night in Darwin, we stumbled upon the Deckchair Cinema. Free entry for the movie they were playing, and food available.
Watching a movie from under the stars was amazing!

The service from the staff was amazing, excellent seating and the meal I had (Butter chicken I’m pretty sure) was pretty good. The seating and decor is ambient and overall a pretty cool experience.

I really enjoyed my time at Deckchair cinema! :) If you come at 6.30pm you can see the wonderful sunset while sitting near the beach and have a ginger beer or something and something to eat as well. The films are not like the mainstream, so I really enjoyed watching a film you can't watch in all cinemas.
