Unusual to find a museum and an art gallery under one roof in Australia but this really works. The history of Cyclone Tracey is vivid; the war in Darwin informative and the aboriginal art is varied and instructive. Make time to see the boats that have brought immigrants from Indonesia: what a journey they must have undertaken.

The restaurant is very good and makes a satisfying end to a fascinating morning.

Look out for the huge croc near the butterflies and birds!

It is near to Mindil Beach and you need your own transport here. It is free to enter and you can see aboriginal arts , animals of Australia, traditional boast exhibition and also a room which shows the effect Darwin had during Typhoon Tracy. Would recommend this place.

Very very spooky. Awesome. I recommend everyone experience this. We expected to stay for an hour or two but stayed at least four hours.

There was a fantastic Aboriginal art display and the cyclone Tracey display was also very good. The kids discovery area was a bit boring and only held my daughter interest for 5 minutes. Entry is free and I highly recommend everyone to visit here.
