Yots is in the Restaurant area of Cullen bay. The food is traditional Greek and very tasty. It is licensed with a good selection of wine and beer. The staff are efficient and friendly.

A lovely view day and night watch the sky light up with thunder or a sunset.
The food is fresh and clean. The octopus salad is great for a healthy light lunch. We recently had a work xmas dinner. This suited our vegetarians, gluten intolerant and fishetarians. The saganaki with chickpeas in a tomato base on the side comes out sizzling. And if you like Oysters they have many types I watched six dozen get devoured within minutes. Lovely lamb, fish and salads. As for the dessert we shared a few mixed platters. The frangelico affogato was the highlight of the night the ice cream served in a funky designer martini glass allowing the consumer complete control of ratios alcohol to coffee. Just perfect to finish the night. They are baby friendly. The owner is lovely he carried our little two month old just to show her off to his wife.

We visited on a week day evening and the restaurant was half full. We didn't need to wait long to be seated in the outside dining area and handed menus. The waitress was friendly but clearly in a hurry as they looked understaffed - she didn't explain the special until we asked when taking orders.

The food was mixed, entree's tasted ok but simply presented with little garnish. Mains were the real disappointment, one of the main reason to visit Yots was to have a great moussaka, as I have experienced all over Greece . What we got was far from authentic Greek quality food. Tough mince with a flavourless sauce, and tough egg plant topped off with a too runny bechamel sauce, thick dry bread crumbs and Parmesan! I thought this was supposed to be Greek, not Italian or Balkan cooking.

Sure the serving were generous, but generous servings of amateurish classics. Drinks were ok, out of stock on the wine we wanted, a limited cocktail menu but the ones they made were bold and presented well. At the end of the evening, around 10pm, doors were being shut and it looked like the customers were wanted out. But that's ok, we on't be going back in a hurry.

Ate herd during a recent business trip to Darwin. This is my second trip back to this restuarant. On both occasions the food has been exceptional. We managed to get a table on the boardwalk by the marina, which was ideal.

The only negative, was that the service left a little to be desired, but this didn't significantly detract from the overall dining experience.
