Aquascene allows you to hand feed fish on the rising tide.

The entry prices are reasonable and the staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to the fish that regularly turn up for a feed. It is in a good loaction and close to Darwin's inner city. Your kids will love the experience.

Check which days & hours Aquascene is open, as it won't be open when it's low tide. Luckily, the arvo I went, the patrons only paid $5 to enter, instead of the usual $15 adults, due to the tide not being high enough to hand feed fish. But, there were plenty of fish coming in to throw bread to. Quite entertaining, specially for the kids. But slap on the sunscreen, hat & sunnies, you'll need them. Was quite "warm" when I went, full blazing sun 3.30pm.

This was so much fun for young and old! Feeding the fish by hand was hilarious, huge batfish and mullet, all species of fish. Highly recommend it especially for children.

This is a very good way to look at and feed lots of fish. It is a very unusual experience and well worth the visit.

Easy to get there but essential to check on tides first. It's closed on very low ones.
Plenty of bread provided but use common sense and don't overdo it. The running commentary is very helpful to identify the various fish that come in to feed.
Kids of all ages will love it as will mums, dads etc. I was surprised at how many fish turned up.
