We stayed here for a night and the staff were friendly and the location great. The hotel however is in need of renovation. Our room had mould on the ceiling and pool that was tiny had missing pavers at edge. For a Novotel hotel this one is not at usual standard. I did email GM about mould and no reply . Room was 322.

On the Esplanade and a short walk to CBD shopping mall and approx 15 mins to Wharf area for great restaurants and family friendly free pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and a wonderful range of food options. Bar area is relaxed and has happy hour. Only negative is rooms need an upgrade especially the bathroom which is small and had mould in grout; shower was awkward and waster on the floor was unavoidable.

Stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment which included good buffet breakfast. Location is perfect, easy access to Mitchell Street and the bars, restaurants & Coles. But room is very old & outdated, need to be upgraded.

Such a beautiful foyer and eating area, full of palms and green trees with a running brook right through the middle. Beautiful soft lighting at dinner. Waiters very attentive. Concierge very attentive. Rooms are a great size with 2 tv’s, one in bedroom and one in living room. This suited us down to a tee. A con would be the dated bathroom. They need to be updated. The food in restaurant was excellent. Great choice for breakfasts although a tad expensive. All in all i would return and recommend this hotel.

Prime location just a three-minute walk to the Darwin main drag, and right across the road to lovely parklands which overlook the sea. The parklands are also popular with those befuddled by alcohol, and the sadness of such sights can be confronting - however, it is Darwin.

Hotel staff were very pleasant, the buffet breakfast very good, but the hotel itself is somewhat tired. The lifts' call buttons on one floor required fiddling with to register a lift was required, and a button in one of the lifts at one stage was stuck on 3 so every trip stopped at the third floor. Not a huge issue, but still slightly annoying. The wi-fi was down for three-plus hours one morning which impacted on my ability to access my work emails - though that was not necessarily a bad thing.

The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. The pool was small but the water cold and wet.

This was my second stay on business at this hotel, and in reality, I spent only a little time there on both occasions. Would I stay there with my wife on holiday? I'd probably stay at the casino where I was for my most previous visit to Darwin.
