Adelaide River Cruises (also known as Hunter Safaris) is the BEST crocodile cruise I have ever encountered.

Our host, Harry, is knowledgable, friendly, tells a great yarn and is an excellent cook! The tour runs for an entire day and you see a lot of crocs up close and personal. Having said that, you always feel safe with Harry. On the tour we saw sea eagles, many other birds, wallabies, a Jabiru, wild boars - with many perfect photo opportunities.

We have been on this cruise twice now with our children and thoroughly recommend it. In addition to a rustic BBQ lunch, you get to visit Goat Island and meet Kai - the quirky (and only) occupant. If you are lucky you will also see Casey - the croc that lives near Kai on Goat Island - not for the faint hearted.

The cruise is only small - less than 12 - so you get a unique river experience. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic! Must do cruise!”

We were warmly welcomed after our drive into the property. A small boat load of people and a great cruise guide - Morgan - made this a fantastic experience. We were given loads of information, saw heaps of crocodiles and felt very safe. We all loved it.

“Best of the Two”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Having tried the other company previously, and leaving disappointed, due mainly to larger numbers of tourists on their boat,on our second visit to Darwin we tried this company. It truly is off the beaten track with ample signange, and I also reccomend making a booking. We luckily had done that,,but others waited an hour or so rather than miss out
. Everything about this company screamed Australian. The seller of tickets truly Australian, the loos (very Australian toilets). The lower numbers of passengers on their boat made a difference, as well as the tour guide always aware of each passenger and used both sides and front and back each time he fed a croc so that everyone had an opportunity to take photos, videos, or just take in the full experience of these huge beasts,It felt extremely safe and the guide Morgan repeatledly reminded tourists about safelty issues like keeping hands in the boat, extremely safe, and gave the best posssible experience. From the time we boarded our small boat, with a smaller number of passengers in comparison to other company, our experience was immediate. A huge croc came up to the boat wanting a feed, and it jumped higher and closer than I have ever experienced. and the Captain you might call him, Morgan, immediately put meat on a rod and string and the croc knew what to do and after three tries with jumping, it came up higher than expected and truly showed it's strnght and size. It was close enough to feel the strength and size of these beasts. And immediately once meat was offered onto a rod and string held high that first effort from this huge croc was absolutely amazing. Morgan the tour guide, fed all crocs and there were many who came to feed, equally on both front and back and on each side,so everyone had the opportunity to take photos, videos, or just experience these fascinating and amazing creatures .
Lastly this guide introduced himself to each of us and made it a very personal trip and left us wanting more the next time we visit Darwin. Thank you Jumping Crocodile beware other company sounds very similar, so mobile number supplied. They also have a huge crocodile called Brutus the three legged croc can be found on you tube!

“Jumping Crocs Cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

This cruise was excellent for up close and personal looks at the mighty crocs of the Adelaide River. Very friendly staff and captain Morgan had a few good yarns to tell and introduces himself to each and every guest. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone.

“Nice cruise, getting really close to big crocs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

We came here by accident. We booked with another cruise, similar name. Anyways, we were welcome to join the 11am cruise with Captain Morgan. We have enjoyed this cruise very much getting close to two very big crocs, Brutus and Dominator, 5m each. Very impressive. Cruise was not crowded, maybe 20 passengers. It was high tide, for your next cruise, preefer low tide so you can see the crocs on the banks.
