I love coming here.
This place is alcohol free now, which is understandable. There are life gaurds here and snacks/drinks to buy when the cart is there. Plenty of parks and places to set up

This is a great way to spend the day in hot Darwin! As everyone has mentioned there is a shaded playground, waterpark, pool, BBQs, plenty of shady trees, skate park, basketball court, amenities block and cafe. Something for kids of all ages. Very popular spot for kids parties. The only probelm was a baby didn't have a proper swimming nappy on and pooped in the pool so the whole place had to be shut down for 24hours to clean it up and dose with chlorine. Please put proper swimming nappies on your littlies.

A lovely park, clean and safe. And it's free which you nearly feel guilty about. 3 big slide for anyone over 1.2m but plenty for little kIds, including little slides. Our 3yo lived it and we went 2 days in a row. A nice playground as well as plenty of shade makes it a good few hours out. Take food or meat for a BBQ if you like. Lots of tables and BBQ for use. A great govt initiative!

Have been to the big bucket many times and always is a hit with the kids.
My daughter is very happy she is now tall enough to go on the big slides.
There is lots of water based activities and slides around the big bucket, there is a large pool area and a larg, dry, shaded playarea. Perfect for kids parties.
I worry a little about small kids in the large pool as sometimes parents do not supervise their kids properly and although there are lifeguards they cant be watching everyone at once.
Alcohol free area which is great as you don't tend to get the idiots.
There are also a few bbq areas which again are great for parties.
Cafe for drinks and snacks but you can take your own picnic/esky
A great free afternoon out

Thoroughly recommend this park if you have kids, our 10&13 yo loved the water slides and the fact that it was free meant we weren't compelled to stay all day. Food very pricey at the cafe though, bit of a rip for families.
