Owner description: Crocosaurus Cove allows visitors a unique, up close and personal view of massive saltwater crocodiles, crocodile hatchlings, juveniles as well as being home to the World’s largest display of Australian reptiles and the famous Cage of Death. The Cage of Death is the only cage in the world that brings you face to face with some of the largest Saltwater Crocodiles in captivity. Remember to bring your bathers and ‘Swim with the Crocs’ in our unique swimming area that allows you to get up close to our very active juveniles. Don’t miss the chance to feed these hungry juveniles as part of our latest attraction, "fishing for crocs" ...this is a photo opportunity not to be missed. Meet the reptiles and learn more about the Top End’s unique and favourite critters such as Western Bearded Dragons and Olive Pythons. Check out the barramundi in our 200,000 litre freshwater aquarium and don’t forget our gorgeous top end turtle enclosure. All this and a daily program of fun & interactive reptile activities await you at Crocosaurus Cove, in the heart of Darwin City.

“Up close and personal with a real life dinosaur”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

Visited Croc Cove really for one reason only, to swim with the crocs and it was definitely a once in a lifetime event.
The Cage of Death as its called lets you get in the water with a real life monster and get right there next to it like you never could (or would) do in the wild.
Crocodiles, especially 5 meter plus long salties really are magnificent creatures and the only way to really understand how beautiful they are is to spend some time in the water with them.

The experience isn't cheap for a budget conscious traveller and even less so when you add in the professional photo package but it is something you will never forget and the quality of the photos and the Go-pro footage that you come away with is worth every cent.

Awesome experience, just do it!

“Love the crocs and other animals”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

I come here to enjoy a special communing with nature time. It is also cool, and the cafe a enough to satisfy my needs. Gift shop sells touristy gifts and relevant books. I like to see the video of the history of Darwin, watch the smaller crocs swimming around, and to see all animals get fed. The reptiles are fed at certain times. Local residents get to pay once and come again free in a year.

“Great for the whole family!”

I've been in the cage of death twice and would go again! This is a great place for every age group and it's a very interesting place to learn about the crocodile. They deserve a lot of respect and I love them. I just hope next time I go in the cage of death that a crocodile will come up to the cage and look me in the eyes!

It's a small place but you can come and go as you please. You get to feed baby crocs which is pretty awesome!! There's heaps of shows to see and the cage of death is a adrenaline rush at first and bloody awesome at the end. Chopper is a true star :)
