Owner description: Crocosaurus Cove allows visitors a unique, up close and personal view of massive saltwater crocodiles, crocodile hatchlings, juveniles as well as being home to the World’s largest display of Australian reptiles and the famous Cage of Death. The Cage of Death is the only cage in the world that brings you face to face with some of the largest Saltwater Crocodiles in captivity. Remember to bring your bathers and ‘Swim with the Crocs’ in our unique swimming area that allows you to get up close to our very active juveniles. Don’t miss the chance to feed these hungry juveniles as part of our latest attraction, "fishing for crocs" ...this is a photo opportunity not to be missed. Meet the reptiles and learn more about the Top End’s unique and favourite critters such as Western Bearded Dragons and Olive Pythons. Check out the barramundi in our 200,000 litre freshwater aquarium and don’t forget our gorgeous top end turtle enclosure. All this and a daily program of fun & interactive reptile activities await you at Crocosaurus Cove, in the heart of Darwin City.

We booked the big croc feed experience. There were just the 3 of us on the tour so it was a really personal experience. Guide 1 took us through the reptile house. Her knowledge and love of the reptiles was evident as she knew each of their names and quirks. The reptiles were surprisingly active and we had the chance to hold lizards, turtles and a rather large python. We then went with guide 2 who took us to feed a very big croc. (Over a safety wall with a long pole, but still the closest to a big croc that I am ever likely to be.) Next some more info on crocs, then a chance to hold a young one. This guide also obviously had a huge amount of experience and passion as she talked not just about the crocs in enclosures but also about her work with other crocs in the region. The place does look a little tired in some places, but the staff and their critters more than make up for that.

I found myself in Darwin with a group of friends for the V8 Supercars which took up most of the weekend and we were very keen to spend a couple of hours enjoying a classic Darwin tourist experience. Cue Crocosaurus Cove. This place is just fantastic, with a multitude of wildlife including an array of reptiles, and crocodiles ranging from small young'ns to 5.5m beasts! The staff here are a wonderful group of individuals who love their jobs and combine unrivaled knowledge and service which exceeds that of a 5 star hotel. Special mentions to Faye and Josh! In the two hours we spent there we given the opportunity to feed a couple of the huge crocodiles and hold babies crocs, opportunities which we would not be afforded in larger zoos and wildlife parks without huge waits and exorbitant costs. Thanks Crocosaurus Cove, we will be back!!

Very interesting and informative venue. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Learn and enjoy right in the middle of the CBD. Kid friendly get there early as it gets crowded quickly.

Very enjoyable day we had at the Croc Cove. Would have liked to do the Cage of Death but was unfortunately fully booked. Could be due to it being the Queen's Birthday (book early!) Being a public holiday, it was also pretty crowded but not uncomfortable.

We joined the VIP tour (cost a little more than entrance fee) and were extremely glad we did! The level of service delivered by all the staff were fantastic. Had a chance to feed some huge crocs and hold other reptiles. The guides were also knowledgeable, friendly and ensured we had a great time.

One of the other highlights (other than feeding Burt) was the chance to hold a baby croc (FLUFFY!) and have your photos taken. Initially, we had concerns if it would be uncomfortable or stressed up with the number of people touching/holding him but a friendly chat with the guide proved otherwise. The staff are all well-trained to monitor the croc and should they feel that it is uncomfortable and stressed (by it's eyes I believe), they would stop all activities and allow the croc to rest. Am really glad and amazed at how the Croc Cove is maintained and carried out.

Fantastic trip! Would definitely love to go back again!!

Many crocs to view. The tour was very informative. There is also a chance to see some other animals such as a turtle, lions, wallabies, etc. A surprising collection at times. You also get a chance to hold a baby croc if on the tour.
