No need to. They have got it just right. Not over fussy, approach only when necessary, and so so friendly. The dining under the stars a beautiful experience. Aborigine dance spectacular. The food very well organised. The flies outside a bit of a pest but we can't blame the resort for that; it is a desert after all, but the staff try their very best to make it comfortable for guests by providing nets to place over your head if you wish. Do not come here expecting there not to be flies. Just enjoy the magnificent opportunity to visit Ayers Rock and see it from your luxury tent window. It feels as if the rock is just a few hundred yards, but obviously isn't. It is so magnificent. Lots of walking tours available if you want to go on them. If not, just enjoy.

We spent 2 nights at this very special place. From the online booking to having our bags personally taken to the check in counter, nothing is too much trouble for this professional, friendly staff. We were well informed of our itinerary and also the off site tours available, such as the Harley Davidson and camel rides. We did the latter, and it was a great way to see the landscape up close. The tours are well thought out, often 2km walks with refreshments provided. Longer walks, such as the base walk and Valley of the Winds can be done, with the staff happy to arrange transport for these.

The view from our tent was unsurpassed. Amenities were everything you would expect for a resort of this calibre and more, including the insect repellent cream and spray and also personal fly nets for each guest.

The menu is varied and the meals were presented beautifully. Any personal dietary requirements are easily catered for. Even the desert dining experience was a four course dinner with paired wines, not to mention the welcome from the didgeredoo or the after dinner star gazing talk.

The highlight for us was the tours. They are conducted in a professional, unhurried, informative yet friendly manner. Thanks Liz and especially to Graeme for sharing your knowledge of this amazing part of the world with us.

The price..yes we initially thought it pricey until you break it down into components. The all inclusive price means no unpleasant surprises at check out!

September was a great time to be here, after the cool of winter, which can drop to minus 5 degrees at night and before the heat of the 45 degree summer.

Would we return..definitely!

Room Tip: Great views of Uluru from all tents, but the row of four in the front were our pick.

Of course the scenery with Ayers Rock or Uluru and the Olgas or Kata Tjuta is exceptional. The guides Ned and Graham made each trip interesting, funny as well as being culturally reflective. Executive Chef Seona prepares stunning meals, but appropriate to the climate, are light so you can enjoy but not feel heavy afterwards. Great wines and spirits selection. The accommodation in luxury tents is truly amazing with stunning views of the famous Rock. All staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Room Tip: Bring sturdy shoes for walking and a coat for those cool to cold evenings. Whilst an additional cost...

We stayed for 3 nights commencing 31 August 2013. The experience from the original booking of the holiday, through our arrival, stay and departure was perfect. Assistance and service by the team at Longitude 131 was brilliant and we had a wonderful stay. They kept us informed of our activities and they were clearly on top of every detail. The food was excellent, the guided tours fantastic and informative. This was a no stress getaway. We loved the room especially being able to open the doors with the insect screen down and hear the sounds of the desert and feel the evening breezes throughout the night. Dining under the stars was perfect as the night was warm and the skies clear and the food excellent. The view from the 'tent' is amazing. We completed our stay and came back with a better understanding of central Australia and the people who live there, a reassured knowledge on how good and excellent people are.Would we go back and stay again? Absolutely!

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.

Longitude 131 is absolutely fantastic. From the moment staff collected us at the airport, we were warmly greeted & told not to lift a finger or worry about our bags. When we arrived the GM greeted the group, we were offered champagne & hors-d'oeuvres & briefed about the activities & the resort. It is such a facility. It looks like a tent, but the room is beyond upscale. The staff is so kind & helpful. The food was fantastic & there is no way you can leave the dining room hungry! There were many wonderful tours & activities, but I think our favorite was Dinner Under The Stars. We were there during July (winter) & while it could be warm during the day when the sunset, it got cold. However, in our "tents" not only were robes & slippers supplied, but fleece, hooded poncho which we took with us for the outdoor dinner. It was needed because it did get cold, but there was a roaring bonfire, lots of wonderful food & wine & a beautiful evening to see the stars. It was a wonderful experience all around.

Room Tip: Not a bad room on the property.

We have had an amazing trip to Ayrs Rock - Uluru and to see the Olgas's as well - we lost one bag getting here with Virgin Airlines but the staff looked after us fantastically and chased the bag down and it arrived a day later.

The whole experience at Longitude 131 was amazing - one would call it a once in a lifetime opportunity, Food, Tours, People were all fantastic and would highly recommend this for a short break holiday

From Dinner under the stars, to the day tours - we were well taken care of - and at times over serviced - felt very very spoilt - would love to come back again

Accommodation was excellent, 5+ star

Tour guides have amazing knowledge of the founding fathers of this land

Food and beverage - you would never go hungry at this Resort.

Overall - LOVED IT - made to feel at home from the very first step off the plane and back again
