Beautiful, creatively decorated hotel. The carpeting, chandeliers and wall hangings are all evocative of the aboriginal heritage of the area desert and are stunning! This hotel was remodelled about 3 months before our visit. (see pictures)
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the A/C adequate for the 108 degree heat. We had a quick lunch at the snack bar and then breakfast the next day. The lunch was a little pricey, but you are in the middle of nowhere.
Breakfast was very, very nice, with chef cooked omelets and a buffet of anything else your heart could desire for breakfast. The dining room is lovely with windows to the desert and stream outside making it a most pleasurable experience.

Great quick, free, transfer from airport to the hotel & the resort has a free shuttle bus constantly going round the resort taking you to all the other hotels giving you the opportunity to eat or drink there.
We were given room 226 which was gorgeous in itself but the balcony was huge! It had a large round seat then 2 loungers and then at the top, a table with 2 chairs - fantastic. The room was big as well with 2 large double beds & lovely bathroom. Everything was very, very clean.
The pool was very big and a nice temperature. It was apparently cooler (was only 40 degrees!) and too hot most of the time to lie in the full sun but once it cooled it was lovely to lie there & swim in the big pool.
We took the shuttle bus to the Pioneer Outbacks and had lunch there one day & it was good & good value.
Would recommend this hotel highly & would definitely go back,

Room Tip: Room 226 or similar are fabulous

excellent service and a super location to the rock.......all services are available and the pool is wonderful...you need that when it is 110 degrees out. The food and drinks are pricey but the IGA is just a few moments away and has all the supplies needed to eat in your room. the staff was very helpful in making sure you made your tours on time as some leave at 4:30AM

Room Tip: near the pool.......the view does not matter so dont take the "rock view" room go and v...

The hotel and rooms were fine. Comfortable. But as service is from transient staff don't expect world class service. Don't expect rooms to be made up efficiently. There was one day that it wasn't done at 4pm! Food is pricey( yes I know there's transport cost). Also any activities that were advertised on the website and in the lifts were not on. V disappointing.
Double check all room charges as we had $ 400 worth of tours which we did not do added on.

This hotel gave excellent service when checking in - the baggage staff and the reception staff were efficient and helpful.
The whole of the hotel was attractive and the room was very adequate. The person laying the bathroom floor obviously had no experience of the use of a spirit level as the water from the shower made random progress across the bathroom floor rather then going down the drain.
The signs to guide you to the rooms ( which are widespread across the site ) were also random and made finding the room difficult.
The restaurant provides very good dinners and breakfasts but is extremely expensive - helpful and pleasant waiting and kitchen staff.

We recently stayed for 3 nights in a terraced room in this excellent hotel. Although not much to look at from the outside, everything inside has recently been refurbished to a high standard and I would certainly rate it as good as a large 4 star city hotel. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with indigenous art and earthy colours to blend in with the location.

The pool and surrounding area were ideal for relaxing and cooling off in between trips to the Rock. A nice touch was the waiter bringing around cups of iced water for everyone every hour or so, something I’ve never come across before in the many hotels I’ve stayed in.

I actually disagree with comments some people have made regarding the high cost of meals in the hotel. Yes you can pay $65 for a buffet dinner but there are also other good choices for around the $20 - $25 mark. For a 4 or 5 star hotel, I found these prices acceptable. If you find this too expensive there are plenty of other cheaper options in the surrounding hotels and the ‘town square’, all within easy walking distance.

My only slight complaint was our outside terrace. Low plant holders (with no plants in ours) separated us from our neighbours so there was little privacy. Also the tiles were quite dirty and the cushions on the day beds dusty. I appreciate that we were in the middle of the outback, but a quick wash of the floors and a pat down of the cushions before new guests arrive wouldn’t go amiss.

Lets get this straight - this is a 5* hotel in the middle of the desert - cost room only was £220 per night ($320 aud) breakfast was £22 each ($37aud) and dinner buffet was approx £50 ($85 aud) each including water/coke - beers are about £6 per bottle ($9aud) ... Then if that wasn't enough they charge you an extra 1% to put on credit card ... Ok so what was the hotel like ?

Very nice, rooms and general hotel was everything you would expect from a hotel of this type ... The major letdown was the pool area it was generally dirty, missing pool tiles, floor at bottom of pool was dirty (although water was clean)
The hotel has been recently refurbished and is of a high quality - maybe they haven't got around to the pool area which is a shame, don't get me wrong the pool is ok to use and sit around but certainly needs attention

Staff were fine, pleasant and helpful ... Although I called reception to book a tour and the receptionist put me through to someone one else ... On checking out they had charged me $1 for the call to make a booking despite the front desk and coach driver on way from airport saying "if you need any excursions just ask the hotel reception" ... Seemed a little weird to charge me for putting a call though and if they had said I would have used my mobile to which I have thousands of unused minutes.

It is near to the resort centre and takes 3 mins to walk ... Overall 8/10 ... The pool dropped a point and the penny pinching with the call dropped another

Room Tip: When booking see about a terrace room, they are the same standard but rate includes breakfast so you...
