“Typical Quest”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

This was a nicely presented apartment - we stayed in a studio room and found it comfortable and well laid out. I'd requested a room with a pleasant aspect and I was given one! We needed transport to get to the centre of town - a bit of a hike, especially if you don't fancy walking along the Todd River at night.
There is a lot of cement around the building - mostly it's just a big parking area. It was too cold to swim but I wouldn't have been tempted by the pool area even if it had been warmer!

Room Tip: Studio rooms have a couple of hotplates but are not really set up for cooking. However, the apartmen...

We very much enjoyed our short stay at Quest in Alice Springs. Our one bedroom apartment was clean and spacious, with all the facilities one associates with Quest venues - furniture in excellent condition, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, great white goods etc etc. We had no problem with noise from outside the apartment.

We purchased a couple of breakfast packs from reception, and they were terrific.

As a number of other reviewers have noted, the biggest drawback with this Quest is its distance from the "CBD" of Alice. It's quite a hike - and not a walk that would inspire feelings of security. But if you've got a car, it's not an issue - and the free secure parking is a real bonus.

Alice Springs is a great place to spend a couple of days. There is a market in the main mall area on some Sundays, which has a wide variety of stuff and is well worth the visit. The Old telegraph station is fascinating if you like that sort of thing! And I really enjoyed the transport museum. And have dinner or a drink at Montes - it's quite a place!

I would have no hesitation in staying with Quest next time I'm in Alice, and I'm very happy to recommend it to Tripadvisor readers.

I stayed here on a business trip and needed to leave things behind to be picked up some weeks later. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were willing to accomodate all requests. The accomodation itself was clean and confortable, and good laundry facilities. However if you donot have transport its a bit of a walk from town lugging groceries. There are no places very near by to eat. However if just walking to town for sight seeing it is comfortable and easy.

I am a regular user of the Quest brand and there is no doubt this property lives up to the Quest standard of quality accommodation in terms of modern, fresh and clean facilities however the property drops the ball on a number of other fronts.
I have never experienced poorer service from an accommodation provider. Staff are extremely abrupt and exceptionally rude. Obviously the isolation of this location affords them the ability not to have world class customer service skills due to the limited choice in the area however basic customer skills were an expectation of mine.
The location is opposite the Todd River which is a dry river bed frequently occupied by drunk indigenous locals who have no consept of time and will keep you up or frighten your family with their constant fighting and yelling or general presence. They also attract a lot of police attention which is not ideal.
The tariffs for this accommodation are outrageous and simply not worth it. Alice has a number of world class accommodation providers including Crown Plaza and Lassetters Casino both of which I have also stayed at. They offer much better value.
The only real advantage to the Quest is the secure car parking, otherwise you are much better off staying in the centre of town where all the action is or on the other side of the river at the Crown Plaza or Casino.
Overall the Quest will leave you broke and unsatisfied. Give it a miss.

What can I say. This Quest Apartment is up to the Quest standard. We have stayed at many Quest Apartments and most a very good. This is one of the very good ones. The apartment was clean, very clean - the cleaners are to be commended. The reception was efficient and pleasant and happy to assist in anyway needed. We felt safe here as it is gated and heard very little noise at all. We had heard that Alice Springs was not safe but we had no trouble at all. We decided to cook in each night and there was everything necessary for cooking a good meal for 2. We were in a 1 bedroom apartment so had our own washing machine which was necessary as we had not been able to wash for about 8 days on this trip. Would definately recommend Quest Alice Springs. My only point is you need a car or need to hire a car after arriving otherwise you will need to walk quite a distance to get anywhere around here.

Room Tip: No lift so if a lot of luggage ask for a downstairs apartment.

We stayed at the Quest Alice Springs for four nights in May 2012 as part of our outback trip through NT. We have stayed in many Quest properties throughout Australia and this property is on par, if not just above the rest.

In a great location, close to the CBD and casino, but very quiet at night. There is off street parking which is locked at night. The rooms are typical Quest standard, modern, spacious and clean. The beds are also very comfortable. This would have to be one of the quietest accommodations we have stayed in. Friendly staff and a free guest laundry.

We would definitely stay at Quest Alice Springs again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the complex for extra peace and quiet.
