Our overnight stay at Ross River Resort was made even more pleasurable by the managers Shane and Jodie. Shane took us for a tour of the property and his pride in the spectacular location is understandable. The cabin was basic but clean, comfortable and good value.

We were made to feel like friends visiting Shane and Jodie's home. We were given a tour of the beautiful property, then had a meal and a drink with Shane in the bar afterwards. It was one of the highlights of our holiday in central Australia and I would advise anybody seeking a genuine outback experience to include a stay there if they can.

Wow what an amazing weekend we had at Ross River Resort. The hospitality we received from hosts Jodie and Shane was exceptional. From the hilarious stories, tour of their breathtaking property to the helicopter ride left us not wanting to leave. We have already planned for a return trip in September .

We arrived at Alice Springs and picked up our hire car and set off for the East Macdonnels and Ross River. It was a beautiful drive and we received a very friendly welcome from Shaun and Jodie. We had a comfortable cabin and good food. In the morning Shaun took us for a drive around and showed us the local scenery. If you are going to Alice Springs don't miss going to Ross River!

We stopped at Ross River for a cool drink Jan 25 as we had just travelled the Garden Road to Altunga. It was really hot, dusty drive and we arrived at Ross River mid afternoon. The cicadas were extremely loud and annoying. Not a normal occurence, but they had rain which brought them out. Shane invited us to stay with them. We felt so welcomed that it was hard to leave and change our travel plans to stay. We had a good look around the homestead and would definitely recommend as friendly and safe place to stay.
