We walked along the Todd River bank from the town to the Old Telegraph Station and recommend both this walk and the site for the environment and history.

Not far from the city centre, a short bike ride. This is where it all started, from a humble telegraph station to a town of Alice Springs. There are a fair few old buildings in a very good repair from the days of the overland telegraph. All accessible to visitors. The grounds have barbeques and grass! Something to enjoy in Alice. After a good rain the waterhole may even have water in it.

The stories that are captured in this living museum are incredible. You can spend hours here appreciating how this country was opened up.
