This Telegraph station is a must to see. The history, the difficulties that had to be overcome. A chance to really see how things were, how they operated, and how they lived.

You need to spend at least an hour here learning about the "good ole days" when the only way to get info was via telegraph. More importantly, you can learn here about Aboriginal culture and what happened to children of mixed races during that period. If you are lucky, you. May get two meet a legend in his own time, Alec!

A short drive from out motel and we were back in the early days of settling the out back by Eurpoeans. You could imagine how these rugged men lived and worked in the middle of nowhere. The only contact with the outside world by the telegraph they were building. Very educational to me as the hardshipe encountered were in in my dreams of the outback. a must for everyone to visit when in Alice Springs

Some great walks up to here - beware in summer (take water and sunscreen). Great little park to look around and some lovely wild life around the outside or on your way up
