My partner & I had a great time reading about and viewing all the reptiles. There are approx 35 different reptile species in glass enclosures, outdoor enclosures and a big croc with underwater viewing (scary but awesome!) - all were great to look at & easy for taking photos (1 section is non flash photography so a tripod for a steady hand would have been handy). Our only discretion would be the building and enclosures are a bit outdated and also small, some lizards and snakes looked a little cramped but the handler (we didn't catch her name unfortunately!) was great fun and pushed our limits in holding a few lizards and a giant Olive Python!! Very enjoyable 1.5hrs.

i was a bit hesitant going into the reptile centre, because its been built in an old house... so it basically looks like someone's got a lounge room full of snakes. but there is a huge range of snakes and lizards, some very cute frogs, and plenty more! not to mention the friendly goanna that greeted me as i walked through the door. definitely worth the visit!

Don't be deceived by the buildings exterior! I visited the Alice Springs Reptile Centre as part of a Contiki tour and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip!

Its definitely worth waiting to watch the show where you get to hold lizards and snakes!
