“Best outlook over Alice Springs”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

The track can be tough under foot, but scenery is spectacular and a good quick training walk for the rest of the Macdonnells.

“Its VERY HIGH”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Its an amazing place to walk, but be warned if you don't like heights its pretty scary, I didn't make it to the top the last bit was straight up rocks and I didn't think I would make it down, so stopped there clinging to a rock. The view was spectacular from the top I was told by my braver husband! its worth doing even if you dont make it to the top

“Must do when in Alice”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Rode bicycle to Flynn's Grave, surprisingly strenous walk/hike ( moderate level of fitness needed), track fairly easy to follow if you allow a couple of breaks to get your bearings... the cliff at the top looks a lot harder to climb than it is and you're rewarded with 360 stunning views..
I was however, disgusted at the sight of small children unattended 2 metres from the cliff face....Possibly the best activity in Alice Springs but not for <12yos

“360 degree views worth the climb”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Amazing views from the top at sunset, just allow enough time to get back down before dark! Despite the absence of signage, I found it relatively easy to navigate- just go straight when you get to the first intersection. Near the top there is a very rocky section, and yes, you can (and should) climb up this. There were a few other people on the track, so I was fine walking up solo. Make sure you bring water- and don't skimp on lunch beforehand like I did. What a great finish to a day driving around the MacDonnell Ranges while listening to Triple J's Hottest 100 of all time, and a visit to the Desert Park.

“It's no walk in the park.”
Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

We read the reviews before taking this on and thought some information was lacking. We think it's important people know the following:
- this walk is not at all sign posted (starts at John Flynn's grave). Follow the track although even it is not very clear.
- give yourself 3 hours which will allow you rest stops and chances to take in the view.
- can be slippery in parts, be sure to wear good shoes.
- definitely take water and do this walk in the cooler months.
Fantastic view, well worth the effort. Tough walk but achievable.
