Alice Springs Heritage Caravan and Tourist Park
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Stayed recently for just under a week and had a great time. Other guests were a lot of fun and the place was clean and set out well. You could see that they are still doing a lot of upgrading and the place has likely the biggest pool I have ever seen in a caravan park.

Pet friendly but not over run with animals. They have recently added a kid playground and the owners were telling us about the plans for an off leash pet area, which you can see is being cordoned off and built up. Got to hang out with camels to which was a bit of fun.

Would certainly stay again.

Having travelled all over Australia we have found that this is the best, cleanest, and well laid out park that we have ever stayed at. We have stayed here three times and will be staying for another 10 days on our return trip. The park is clean and tidy and the showers and toilets are kept exceptionally clean. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. We cannot fault this park. Well done to the staff and owners for making that extra effort

Camp grounds swarming with ants, pool filled with biting beetles when we stayed there, filthy womens amenities, plague of rabbits, disinterested managers who don't live onsite to deal with after hours issues, dirty washing machines, drunk patrons who've taken over the camp kitchen. Yep this park has got the lot.

What a blessing this beautiful caravan lets you have dogs as it is the only place in Alice! Well done Heritage Caravan Park. The staff were welcoming and made sure I was given a cabin with a fence so my dog could run around, a welcome change to most who don't want pets on the grounds

Traveling from Melbourne to Katherine for some barra, i stopped at this place just minutes from the main drag (by car). As i was traveling with me mate Spencer(Dog), this place checked my first box. Secondly was price...check. Got us a non powered site for $15 cant go wrong. The grounds were in very nice condition and toilet block was clean, perfect. Bonus a swimming pool. The owners are very nice and helpful, We stayed 3 nights, nice and peaceful. The other people staying were mainly grey nomads in there caravans. The owner Mark (i think) is a mad 4WDer and as i so he told me a few spots to go and they were magic. On our last day i gave Spencer a bath in the dog wash before we headed north. Stopped there on way back too. All there is to say is its a good place to stay.

We had a very comfortable stay made easier by the fact the dogs had plenty of space. The staff were always helpful, polite and had plenty of knowledge about the local area. Just a short drive out of town but everything is only a couple of minutes away. Everyone was friendly around the camp with everything (including the kitchen!) being tidy. It is a fantastic price and considering the improvements currently underway will only make the place better.
