Traveling from Melbourne to Katherine for some barra, i stopped at this place just minutes from the main drag (by car). As i was traveling with me mate Spencer(Dog), this place checked my first box. Secondly was price...check. Got us a non powered site for $15 cant go wrong. The grounds were in very nice condition and toilet block was clean, perfect. Bonus a swimming pool. The owners are very nice and helpful, We stayed 3 nights, nice and peaceful. The other people staying were mainly grey nomads in there caravans. The owner Mark (i think) is a mad 4WDer and as i so he told me a few spots to go and they were magic. On our last day i gave Spencer a bath in the dog wash before we headed north. Stopped there on way back too. All there is to say is its a good place to stay.

We had a very comfortable stay made easier by the fact the dogs had plenty of space. The staff were always helpful, polite and had plenty of knowledge about the local area. Just a short drive out of town but everything is only a couple of minutes away. Everyone was friendly around the camp with everything (including the kitchen!) being tidy. It is a fantastic price and considering the improvements currently underway will only make the place better.

Nice Owners but need to be NOT so nice to enable them to raise their standards. Campers in very small tents ( one man in particular) have taken over the Camp Kitchen, he makes you feel very uncomfortable if you dare to venture in there, ( I wouldn't cook in there anyway it is disgusting, think the health department need to visit) . This same man has a table with all his belongings on including bed side light and radio which he plays all day commencing at 5 30 am. He can't be bothered going to the toilet so urinates up the fence in full view of us and our 3 year old grand daughter. Surely he should be moved away from the camp kitchen area, along with the others that take their dogs in there. When spoken to the owners , they quoted" he is harmless) come on guys get your priorities right.I would not stay there again ever. Also my daughter and husband stayed in a Donga there and had no hot water( owners were told twice) and the room was far from clean.

Just to let you know we took your complaint seriously and gave the person an official warning, Unfortunately he still did not comply and was given the required notice of eviction.

The camp kitchen is in the progress of being updated, it now has 2 new BBQ;s, New Tiling, New Fridge.

Sorry your daughter had no hot water, its usually a setting on the taps inside the shower or the gas bottle run out, the latter problem has been sold by the installation of a new Solar Hot Water unit that now runs all the new container cabins.

Nice young couple owners, hard to find dog friendly places! Pool is huge and surroundings are great!

It's a bit rough around the edges but hey your staying in a caravan park! $15 per night for unpowered camping is hard to beat and I have been here for over a month.

Travelling with 2 dogs couldn't ask for a better place that suited our needs. Toilets are clean able to lite a fire set up the camper with plenty of room.
Staff very friendly a little bit out of town but pre planning prevents any issues.

seriously complaining about having to drive to dump your own port a poti, what is wrong with you people. My family and i thought this park was fantastic very nice and clean, great showers and clean amenities. It seems to me the people who write on these sites are only the whinges. I think you will find that most of the caravan parks do not have a dump point as there is one so close by. The other thing you are in a dog friendly park and complaining about dogs barking when you go near them?? what have dogs been doing for thousands of years?? I believe the new managers are doing a fantastic job they were extremely friendly and helpful. Also you are saying why is there a huge pool and no dump site i believe if you actually have a look the pool is way older than 2 years so the new owners are not the ones to put the pool in so how are you blaming them for this. I get sick of this negativity all the time, the amenities were fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful what more could you ask for from a caravan park..

Room Tip: great showers in amenity block

New owners are trying hard to improve this caravan park, which is one of only two in town that is dog friendly. Hiwever my disabled husband was irritated at having to place the toilet in the car to empty it. I can't understand why there is a gorgeous, huge pool, but no toilet dump. Also, some permanent residents have dogs that yap during the day, so I suggest you park at the opposite end to them . If you have a dog, this park is adequate, but empty your toilet first, then try not to use it, or leave when it is full. Nearly everyone had a porta potti these days, don't they? I think the renovation priorities are wrong and this park is not cheap.

Unfortunately we are on Septic system at the caravan park which cant handle the chemicals of portable toilets, there is only one official dump point provided by the council, where the waste can be properly treated and the water recycled.
