“Have a good stay in a beautiful motel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

A very nice place to stay. Not too far( 2 blocks) from the restaurants of the Main Street. No restaurant here but there are so many good restaurants in town you don't miss one. Great large rooms with views of the river from the first floor. The staff are good and eager to please. Hotel has a good walking track just behind it running down the side of the river.

My wife and I often stay at the lawson while in Wagga .The rooms are always clean and it would have to be the quietest motel we have stayed in ,considering it is only 5 minutes walk to the main street.Nice big bathrooms and very clean. We always book an upstairs Riverview room ,nice to relax on a hot afternoon and watch the water flow by.Try the Lawson breakfast ,never fails to impress.Reception are always friendly and helpful.Quiet good value for the location and room size as well.

Room Tip: Try a River View room, A little more expensive ,but worth it

I have stayed at the Lawson Motor Inn, when I travelled to university from Central West NSW. I found the staff wonderfull & informative - even gave me a map of Wagga Wagga for shopping & getting around, which made the stay in Wagga Wagga, stress free to start off with. The location is great, not to far to walk to the shopping centre, petrol station is just up the road, university is less than a 10 minute drive & best of all, there is plenty of car parking. The rooms are excellent, very clean with reverse air conditioning as well as a lovely big fridge to put your food in as well as a good size kitchenette - saves you money, bringing your own food to prepare, in the long run. The bathroom was a great size, as well as good water pressure in the shower. I had a courtyard room and it was amazing, the rooms are sound proof, so you get a good nights sleep, the TV had Austar as well as the usual commercial channels, which was really good. Speaking of sleep, the beds are very comfy, not to firm, not to soft. I am that impressed I have told others & I will be returning to the lawson later this year for university again. The Lawson Motor Inn by far is value for money, I would highly recommend it :)

Room Tip: The Courtyard Rooms are lovely, you get your own courtyard that looks out onto the river. Thats a bo...

My husband and I stayed just the one night during a driving trip down to Victoria. We were really impressed with this motel. Our room was not like the usual motel room. There was a kitchen area with a larger than normal fridge and uncluttered by expensive minibar items which left us plenty of space for fruit etc. The bathroom was very spacious with an impressive amount of bench room for toiletries and the towells thick and fluffy. The bed was comfortable with quality linen. There was a couch, side table, small dining table with two chairs, a desk, TV and decent space for luggage. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location was ideal; walking distance to restaurants and adjacent to the Murrimbidgee River for a pleasant walk late afternoon or early morning. Overall a memorable experience.

New motor inn close to the Main Street. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with quality fixtures. Mattress was good and was pleased to see a decent branded tv in a room for once. Well worth the money, will stay again.

Wagga Wagga was our first stop of a holiday and we could not have picked a better place than this one. An eight minute walk to the shopping and eating precinct. Plenty to see and do whilst you are here. We got a Riverside upgrade which gave us views of the Murrumbidgee River which was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The Internet was FREE. The suite was spacious and the bathroom large and roomy. Bonus ! Would stay here again and again. The reception staff were amazing with information about Wagga Wagga and anything else you needed to know and always with a smile on there face.

Room Tip: We had a Riverside room No 33 Upstairs.

We stayed at Lawson Motor Inn for our godsons March out from Kapooka, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was lovely, the gardens and surrounds so beautifully laid out, and to be able to go out the back door and walk along the river - such a delight. Thanks to the staff, friendly and helpful.
