Stayed here over a weekend in an executive suite apartment. Cache apartments looked new (in refurbished building) and are right on Baylis Street - quieter end of town, close enough to shops, restaurants and major supermarkets (Woollies and Coles). They are near the park and lagoon, Council chambers and about a 500 metre walk to the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The rooms are located above the cache bistro which makes great coffee - coffee orders can even be phoned through. Bistro always seemed busy. I didn't hear any noise from the bistro though I did hear what seemed like a vacuum at 4.30am the next morning.
Apartments are located on second floor and run off several corridors - there are stairs or you can take a lift. Rooms are very clean. Recommend executive apartments as they are quite spacious with separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet. Very good if you want to self cater - there's an oven, stove, microwave and full size fridge. No dishwasher but washing up liquid is supplied. Most cooking implements supplied including pots, pans, plates etc, cutlery. There is a nice wooden dining table which can comfortably seat four people.
There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom. There are reading lights build into the bedhead but they are very bright like spotlights. The lounge area chair folds out to a sofa bed. Watch out for steps leading into toilet and bathroom. There is a wall mounted TV with access to quite a few pay channels in both the bedroom and lounge room. The one in the lounge room is too high up - great if you are lying on the sofa bed, but not if sitting on the lounge chair. There is air conditioning.
There are two windows - no view though - just the roof and another building. There is secure car parking, but no spots when we arrived at 2.20pm - so we had to park the car around the corner on a side street facing the gardens. Otherwise you could park in front of the building near the cache bistro.
There is path along the Murrumbidgee River - some of it goes right down near the river and then up on the levee. You can drive or walk to Wagga Beach (about 800 metres). There is actually a sandy beach, grass and picnic facilities - would be great on a warm day.
I'd stay here again.
