We stayed at Lilier Lodge on our way from Melbourne to Sydney. Accommodation is in spotlessly clean motel-style rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. There is a communal kitchen and lounge area, plus each room has a small balcony with outdoor chairs and tables. Guests are free to use the kitchen and lounge area, as well as use the faclilities in each room (TV, kettle, fridge, tea and coffee makings, etc). The Lodge is primarily a place for people with cancer to stay whilst undergoing treatment, so it is a fantastic quiet place for those who want a few days peach and quiet, but not a place to go to hold wild parties. It is probably best that you do not stay there if you have any infections, as it would make life difficult for other residents.
If you can cope with those restrictions, like us you will find it a great place to stay. It is reasonably priced, relatively new, the bedding etc is of excellent quality, there is lots of space, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed on a 42'C day, and the airconditioning worked perfectly (and quietly). There is no pool at the Lodge, but we used the local aquatic centre, which is less than 5 minutes away by car. Shops are also close. And you can also sleep soundly knowing your funds are going to a good cause.
