“A nice meal before going to the theatre”
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

We went to the Spanish Terrazas Restaurant on the recommendation of our daughter prior to going to a concert at the Sydney Opera House. We were there early in the evening and the restaurant was not busy. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had just the right amount of food at a reasonable cost so a very pleasant start to our evening.

“Atmosphere + Sangria = 😃”
Reviewed September 12, 2013 via mobile

We decided to go to this restaurant as it was across the road from where we were staying. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was amazing. There was a two piece band up the back and they were fantastic - they really set the tone for the evening.

My husband and I were unsure about what to get but once we spotted the mixed tapas for two, we knew that it was for us. It had meatballs, chicken drumsticks, chorizo, mushrooms, salt and pepper calamari, potato and croquettes. All very traditional, and very oily, but being Italians, we are used to it.

Again, once we saw the sangria, we knew we wanted it, and it didn't disappoint. The service was fantastic, the staff were super friendly and pleasant.

The restaurant was loud, jubilant and exciting, everything you would expect from a Spanish restaurant.

“Dont bother, do yourself a favour!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

We chose this place as it looked nice and clean and was in the Spanish Quarter - we both love tapas. We arrived without a booking and there was a 15 min wait for a table, the staff were very accommodating and apologetic about us having to wait. Once we were seated our wait staff took drinks orders and then disappeared for a very long time (+30 mins). In the end I asked another waiter to take our food order, he looked startled and scurried off and about 10 mins later someone came to take our order. There were a lot of people around us complaining about the wait for their food. My cocktail tasted like there wasnt any alcohol in it & if there had have been someone to complain to I would have. The food was very average, and given that we were assured that we would be full by what we ordered we left the restaurant hungry, but there was no point in ordering more food because of the wait. Very unsatisfying experience.

“"You Can't Win Them All!"”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We were looking forward to having tapas at a Spanish Restaurant, but were disappointed by the meal and the ambience (there were only two other diners). The only bright spot was the staff member who served us in a friendly fashion.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Had dinner here with my partner on a Saturday night. We sat at the back of the restaurant, which was a relief as the live music was quite loud but the sound quality was muddy, so really it was just a muffled din. We ordered five things from the tapas menu and the food was OK, but after a few mouthfuls it all tasted the same (ie oily). Despite the live music, the place lacked atmosphere and we didn't want to linger.
