We went to Thai Nasia as it came recommended to us. We were the first to arrive at 6pm for dinner but the restaurant filled to capacity quickly. The decorations are quaint and somewhat stereotypical for a thai restaurant. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful in recommending popular dishes. We ordered the lemongrass prawns, the bbq chicken, peanut curry, and beef massaman curry. All were great! The restaurant is BYOB and charges a $2.5 corking fee per person.

We have been coming to this favourite restaurant for many years and the host Janson always makes you feel welcome and the service is superb. But went the other evening and the food was the best and most unique that we have had there. No boring Thai dishes here, but fresh ingredients and cleverly thought out dishes such as scallops on the shell, betel nut and a tasty massama curry with sweet potato floss.
Cannot recommend more highly, you must go!

We went to the restauarant with friends and all shared plates, the food was very good and a nice crowd in the restaurant. It is a BYOB establishment and there's a good bottle shop next door

Friends who have been coming here from over 10 years took us along and what a gem. Staff were all friendly and the manager makes sure it is all working well. Not too crowded or noisy, even though the tables are closely spaced.

The food was great - a good variety of dishes which would cover all lovers of thai food. Some of the dishes were a little hot, but not unbearable. We had one of the best "Massaman Beef Curry" (with Sweet Potato) that we could remember, and the beef was slow cooked to perfection. The red duck curry (one of our benchmark dishes) was nicely done, with generous portions of roasted duck. The only disaapointement was the "Betel Leaf with Prawn" entree - we have had far better, while this looked great its flavours were not as expected. A "Sea Salt & Pepper Barramundi" had mixed reviews by each of us, as did the "Holy Basil Crispy Salmon" dish.

The big test - would we go back. Yes. Prices ..... fairly average $18-$34 for mains, but reasonable servings.

We've been going to Thai Nesia for years. We visited recently on a holiday to Sydney and it was the same high standard of classicThai food we remembered. The staff are friendly and competent. We had fish cakes and stuffed chicken wings for starters. For mains we shared stir-fried king prawns with red curry, a duck salad and barbecued chicken. All the food was very fresh and nothing over-done or heavy. There is no need to order steamed rice, as they bring around a large pot and offer refills as necessary. The bill came to about $AUD130 for three people, which did not include wine. This is not cheap Thai dining by Sydney standards (although it probably is compared to the price of Thai cuisine in other countries). The food is classic Thai, rather than being particularly adventurous. If you're looking for Thai with a more modern twist, then try Longrain in Surry Hills, but be prepared to pay a bit more.
