This is a great little restaurant in Darlinghurst. Prices are moderate, and atmosphere is fantastic. I had booked the private function area for my 50th, and everyone had a great night. The food and service were wonderful, and the French wines were reasonably priced. The staff were really helpful

I returned here recently after a less than impressive visit some months previously and have to say the food was back to it's normal high standard. Fish soup was excellent as was the beef and veal liver and all desserts. Ambience is just like a bistro in Paris. Just one quibble: the service doesn't always do justice to the superb food coming out of the kitchen. More respect for the chef, please guys.

Went to this restaurant after a glowing recommendation. Service was terrible, food was cold when we got it and my friend said the sauce for the mussels tasted like "dirty dish water". We waited forever to order drinks which we had to ask for three times before we got them and ordering food was almost a matter of going to the kitchen yourself! The portions where tiny and food so so. I was so disappointed as I was super excited about going here. Don't waste your time, money or taste buds on la brasserie, it will leave you wondering what the?

We had read so much positive about the restaurant that we flew from Brisbane especially to have dinner there. Soupe a l"oignon gratinee was not outstanding but acceptable. Staff were friendly until we expressed concerns regarding the Cassolet which was totally overcooked and was dry and crumbly. No offer to replace or suggst an alternative occurred. Then when the "Pied de Cachan" also failed to live up to what we expected we became "enemy number 1". So for us a big dissappointment.

I went to this great restuarant with a group of 16 and had the private room at the back. The food was great with some really exciting flavours and choices. The service was attentive and the atmosphere very French. We were entertained (as was the whole restuarant) by a tenor who had us feeling we weer in the fount stalls of the Opera House. We finished the night with coffee on the street frount tables and chairs. I would recommend this restuarant to anyone who has a special occasion or who just want to have some French pampering.
