“Great for steaks, but what would you expect?”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

The name says it all - this restaurant is all about good quality Australian beef and there's a good reason for that - they do it well! Good selection of the cuts you'd expect, most at typical Sydney prices (read, expensive!), but really well done. All dishes were well served, quickly and hot. Quality beyond question. Nicely located from most downtown hotels for an easy walk.

“Good but not great”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

I owed a mate a lunch so we decided to try this place last Friday. It is tucked away off King street and is in a beautiful older style sandstone building. The entrée menu is quite limited and could do with some expansion,we opted to share the Roast Australian Tiger prawn dish which was quite nice - the staff were great and even brought some chorizo to us which was complimentary. We both had the Wagyu Rib Eye cooked medium - a $70 steak but worth every cent based on my last few $45 steaks at other restaurants. The staff are excellent, the food good but I feel that there is something small missing - I know it is a steakhouse but there will be people coming here in part of a group that are wanting something other than steak - there is a few other non steak options which are very lacklustre. We had a nice bottle of NZ Pinot and the bill was $300 so not cheap but a good quality meal.

“Beautiful Steaks - and great atmosphere”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Hidden down a side street, Kingsleys Aussie Steakhouse is well worth the find.

There are other things on the menu - but most people would plump for the steaks. And they are delicious.

Wine list isn't extensive, and the wines are relatively expensive.

All in all, a nice meal.
