I have walked in front of this Potts Point 'trattoria' many times and every time I thought that from the outside it looked just like those down to Earth rustic trattorias from my youth in Italy....when I finally had dinner here I realised that I was wrong.
As soon as you walk in you realise that this place is chic and intimate - whilst preserving a relaxed and almost familiar atmosphere. The service is very friendly and not overcrowding. The menu is balanced and (as I like them) minimalist - with some good old favourite choices. We went for the antipasti and I had pasta with clams, which was just delicious.
The wine list is well put together, with a good range of Italian wines. We had the Sardinian Cannonau, which is not for everybody's taste (very robust and rough around the edges), but that I love because it reminds me of home.
I really enjoyed my night here. Only criticisms would be that the tiramisu is a bit of a let down (my sister's still beats any one that I have ever tried in any restaurant). Also, don't expect a cheap meal here.
