This place is a gem. I have been here on many occasions and always enjoy it. The wait-staff are, almost without exception, excellent, headed by an elegant gentleman called Victor who attends upon a mixture of old money and suburbia with unfailing courtesy and aplomb.
The food here is surprisingly outstanding; the scallops for entree always excellent as is the steak. If with someone, share the beef or lamb: a particular treat.
Their wine list, whilst not cheap, is good; although like too many places these days, it annoys me a little that an advertised vintage is sometimes not matched with that presented (and the old price still charged).
Overall though, this is a terrific venue and I love it. The only real downside is that you have to wade through the horrible entrance at Sydney Tatts club, with the faint ringing and buzzing of the pokies in the background. Such a blight.
