Food servings are generous and excellent value for money. Steaks and the fish and chips (huge serving) are best. Lovely interiors and a convenient location on the heart of the City

This was my second visit in just over a month. Restaurant upstairs is now called Grafitti. The decor is gorgeous, the wait staff were very attentive and knowledgable about the wines available. The food was good quality and the serves generous. The apple and raisin ravioli with custard was delicious. A nice place for lunch in the city that is quiet and affordable. So much better than grabbing quick cafe food carting for city workers. I will definitely be back,

This is a converted Art School, turned into a multi-level pub, bar, restaurant, event centre. We had lunch here on two occasions on the ground floor, and while not great food, the service was brisk, the beers were cold and we were not hungry at the end. The overbearing loud music makes it difficult to have a business conversation. Worth going back and exploring the upper levels.

We stumbled across this place while in the city for the weekend.
We ate in the restaurant upstairs and the service and food was fantastic.It also had a lovely atmosphere.
Is very reasonably priced too.
We will definitely be back next time we are in Sydney.
Highly recommend this place

I used to love going to the Arthouse, it was a great place to kick back and enjoy food, wine and the beautiful art littered on their high walls. Perhaps they have changed ownership since their glory days, because it certainly isn’t what it used to be!

Last night I went to the Arthouse to catch up with some friends and was not only offended, but outright disappointed with the service and quality of food.

We ordered Charcuterie board and the Cheese Board from the bar. After waiting quite an extensive amount of time for the food to arrive, they had got our order completely wrong. Rather than bringing out the Charcuterie board we were presented with Polenta chips and fried baby chorizo. (how you confuse a meat platter with chorizo and polenta chips is beyond me)
After indicting that this wasn’t what we had ordered, the bar tender approached out table and indicating that we would be required to pay an additional $7 to make up the difference. No apology was provided, but rather we were told that what had come out was what we had ordered.

The bar tender took a $20 and resumed service behind the bar. About 15 mins passed and we were approached by yet another member of staff, presumably the floor manager. Again unapologetic about the mix up this member of staff stood at our table rudely arguing with us for about 10 mins and again outright blamed us for ordering incorrectly.

After the 10 min onslaught from this member of staff he finally left the table and we were brought out the meat platter. WOW! The meats on the platter had the consistency and resemblance of dog food. After sampling the meats we were grossly disappointed with not only the quality of the food, but the whole Arthouse experience. We left the Arthouse hungry and disappointed and moved on to the Verandah Bar.

I cannot believe people working in the hospitality industry behave this way. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I certainly will not be going back to the Arthouse until they retrain their staff and up the quality of the food they are offering. Dissapointing!
