“Wonderful location and excellent meal!”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

We went with friends who had been before and booked well in advance to get a table on the terrace, much better as indoors was stuffy. The view and ambience were just stunning, and overall we had a wonderful evening. The service was attentive and friendly, and we managed 3 courses plus dessert wines of which there were a decent choice. Good to have our red wine decanted as well. Just expect an expensive evening, but to us it was worth the $650 for 4 (including wines) given the overall experience...

“Location, Location, Location”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Had some friends visiting from overseas and heard this restaurant would be a good choice to showcase Sydney dining to them. WOW!!...we were amazed at just how superb it is. Opposite Circular Quay with the most beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and to top it off the food and service were fabulous. I won't be waiting until I have OS visitors before I go back!!!

“One of Sydney's finest casual dining experiences”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

This was my fourth visit in as many months as I decided to test it a few times prior to writing down my thoughts. It's a world class setting overlooking circular quay looking over towards Sydney's Harbour bridge and opera house

There are two menus. The bar food which has a few small dishes and snacks with outstanding cocktails and then there is the restaurant with cuisine as good as I've had anywhere in the world (casual dining). They have a tandoor oven so the naan to start is a must. Try the goat cheese and spinich its wild. It's as you would expect, freshly made, full of flavour and a little adventurous. The entrees are diverse with seafood, meat and vego options. I've now seen and tasted most and are creatively combined and delish (although I hate that word to describe food). I've had the goats cheese tart, crab cakes, wagyu carpaccio, scollops which are only brilliant, the squid which is combined perfectly with a dressing and of course Sydney's world famous oysters (which for mine are a little on the exy side). The mains will amaze with my favourite being the Baked Ocean trout with a hint of tandoor marinade. It comes with a few spinach bhajis and some riata and is one of those must have dishes. There are lots of options including beef tenderloin, a few fish dishes, duck and chicken from memory however if you are into fish do not go past the Ocean Trout. I don't eat desert as a rule however I've seen it come out and have tasted it and its again outstanding. If you are travelling to Sydney this must be on the bucket list if money permits. Just think tomorrow you can catch the manly ferry and have a cheap fish and chips and a swim (not necessarily in tht order). Enjoy!
