with other Glebe Point Road diners claiming to be top dogs it is nice to see both the water and staff who are interested in service. we have been regular visitors since this restaurant opened and have noshed through the menu without tiring. what a beautiful and peaceful way to view inner Sydney without the poseurs.

I have been coming to this restaurant for special occasions when visiting Sydney since it opened in the 90's. It has always been good and yesterday's Sunday lunch was no exception. When booking I indicated that this was a special annniversary and a wonderful table for two eventuated overlooking the water. We had a selection of really fresh and tasty oysters, followed in my case by a seared cured kingfish entree with chorizo and tomato on a saffron infused base and a main of pan fried New Zeland grouper on a soupy lentil base that was superb. My wife had a scallop entree and main of pan fried mulloway that were also very good. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being crowded and the wine list was fine, although an additional choice of French champagne by the glass would have been appreciated. A thoroughly enjoyable occasion!

I've been here for lunch a few times and I really like the place. It has a warm, leisurely atmosphere, and you leave feeling like you've enjoyed a mini-holiday.

I love the novelty of sharing a selection of oysters from all over NSW for entree, and the ceremony and spectacle that accompanies the serving of their famous snapper pie which in itself, is well worth a visit. The food is beautiful, fresh, simple fare, the service is attentive and knowledgeable, the space is interesting and gives you something to talk about and in terms of value, you get what you pay for.

Come here to enjoy yourself, and you won't be disappointed.

The reviews and gossip suggested we were in for a treat, but in all honesty, I was underwhelmed.... The location is sensational, the atmosphere congenial, but that is where it stopped. way too noisy ( admittedly Saturday night when most popular venues would be pumping). I asked for a Southern Comfort, sorry sir, some other bourbon was offered....it was imbibed, but left me under satisfied...I only drink this beverage once every 4 -5 months when I go out to a nice restaurant.
Couldnt fault the oysters..it is their specialty after all! Ham Hock croquette very ordinary.
The Snapper Pie looked enticing, both physically and the description, but it was bigger on "size" than taste.
The barramundi WAS delicious though.
The mixed leaf salad was of the best I have tasted....crisp flavorsome and fresh.
Panacotta for dessert was a bit ordinary, but the dark chocolate pudding is to die for!

The bread offered was also very good, but would spoil the appatite if overindulged!

Wine list is very comprehensive.

Overall I felt the restaurant is overpriced for the experience.

Lovely food. Good ambience. Very efficient staff and the area is wonderful if you are interested in being near the water.
