Description: The rocks cafe The Rocks Cafe is one of The Rocks' favourite icons. It offers a truly European dining experience just opposite the MCA on George Street. The Cafe spans two floors and combines the best of modern Australian architecture with a traditional bohemian feel that adds genuine warmth which is echoed by the friendly staff. The Cafe is open seven days a week from 8am to late at night so you can enjoy the breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menus are updated regularly and are complimented by the daily specials where our Chief Chef exercises his flair. Just around the corner from Circular Quay it's very central to the CBD and the financial district for lunch or after work dinner with friends or colleagues. The Rocks Cafe is the perfect for an intimate meal or large corporate bookings can be hosted upstairs and made private if required. Our wine list features wine from the best Australian wine producing regions and our staff are fully trained to help you in any way

“WONDERFUL”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

Came across this place on a weekend trip for my son's birthday. One waitress in particular was amazing and the manager was also great. My son went for the fish and chips and I had risotto. Large good value meals, my son declaring the meal the best fish and chips he'd had. Huge praise from a 10yo. No room for dessert but our hot choccie and latte were well made. Enjoyed it so much my son wants to eat there again before heading home.

“Friendly staff, good cafe type food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Chose this place as the food was reasonably priced, and normal home style like choices. Great sitting outside watching the cars and people go by, even got a glimpse of the bridge. Shared food, helpful staff, pleasant evening out.

“Kangaroo filets were incredible.”

We ordered the kangaroo filets and the lamb cutlets and they were both so delicious. We ordered the kangaroo rare. They told us it was very easy to overlook and could b tough.

“Disappointing and expensive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

My daughter and I ate here on a Saturday evening. Not sure what was going on with the waitress but she was definitely not focused starting out with bringing me the wrong wine. She was very slow in clearing things off; other wait staff were more attentive. I ordered chicken with proscuitto which was a bit dry and charred. My daughter's burger was "OK." Thought it was expensive for the meal.
