Description: Enjoying an excellent reputation as one of Sydney’s best seafood restaurants, the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar is the only seafood restaurant positioned right on the water’s edge at Sydney Cove. The menu has a modern feel with an abundance of Australian shellfish and selection on 6 different regional oysters all shucked to order. The atmosphere is relaxed and the views across Sydney Harbour are world class. This unique venue offers a truly amazing dining experience that will leave you wanting more.

I love this place right beside the harbour. The foods great and the wine list is not too expensive. On a summer's night this is an ideal spot for dinner before a show in the Opera House or just for a great night out. The atmosphere is relaxed and the setting is to die for.

A Friday night stroll ended with a nice dinner in a fantastic location. Situated looking over the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Cove and the Opera House it is hard to beat.

The menu offered a nice variety but we opted for a traditional favourite - Battered Flathead and chips with a Beetroot and Feta Salad. A couple of glasses of Margaret River Riesling was a good accompaniment.

The fish was nicely cooked with crispy batter. Chips equally nicely done.

The wine was excellent.

The weather fresh but only started to rain as we finished our meals.

Overall, lovely place with a good solid meal.

We love the seafood platters here and being next to the water makes the food taste that much nicer.
Due to this being an outdoor venue it is always wise to take a jumper or shawl if your meal is in the evening as the temperatures can get a little chilly. However we asked for a complimentary blanket and they were able to accommodate. In addition they do have heaters under the umbrellas back from the waters edge.
We always receive great service and the staff are very friendly, patient and accommodating.
Being in one of the main tourist areas there is always a mixture of people here, so it is a great place to watch the world go by on a sunny afternoon.
The menu is not vast, which I personally prefer, and what they do, they do well.
The handmade chocolates finish off the meal nicely with a coffee and cognac.
We prefer to have long lazy lunches here and then a walk over to the Rocks or Botanical Gardens to walk off a lovely meal.

We went to the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar upon recommendation from the concierge at our hotel. We were delighted by the location overlooking Circular Quay. It would be hard to beat the ambience of eating outside on a lovely evening. Our salmon and barramundi were quite tasty. The only downside was that the service was rather sporadic -- it was hard to figure out who our waiter/waitress was -- several different people helped out.

Stopped here for a late breakfast while waiting to check into our hotel. It’s located in a beautiful spot along the harbour and had by far the friendliest service we received during our 3 day trip to Sydney. The staff were all lovely! The food and coffee were both good, although a little overpriced (but you have to expect that at Circular Quay).
