The food was good. The Peking Duck was excellent, and we enjoyed the service of it. However, this is clearly not a place where diners are encouraged to linger over a meal, chat, and buy more stuff. There was no waiting between courses, and leftovers were either whisked away (if not rescued) or pushed to a corner of the table. We were fed, and the bill arrived within about an hour. There was certainly no "would you like another drink"? even though it wasn't particularly busy. It is worth a visit for the experience!

A trip to Sydney is never the same without going to the BBQ King. This is a Sydney legend and is always great for a late night snack after a concert. 2 kitchens one cooks Anglicsized dishes the other traditional Chines fare, The BBQ pork is their signature dish and the salt and pepper prawns are excellent. Not for those who like ambience...but wonderful food! This is where the chefs go when they finish work.

You don't come here for ambience or service. If you want simple and quick BBQ Chinese dishes this is where you come. I have been here a couple of times and have alway left full. Prices are ok but you need to remember that this has and is probably a Sydney institution.

Had lunch a few times with work colleagues. The food is why we go. It's not for the decor (looks a bit worn & run down) & it's not for the service (none of them smile).

The BBQ duck is a signature dish & very moist & tender. The pork belly is also very good. Most of other dishes are quite good without being outstanding (as in you could probably find them in any competent Asian restaurant).

Prices - 5 people, 4 mains with steamed rice & the free tea comes to $23 a head.

Looking at the colours & chocolate brown tiles on the floor you wonder if it was an Italian pizza place in the 80's & has nit been upgraded since. Not to worry, the food is why we go there.

This place used to be legendary but when a group of colleagues and I checked it out last week, we could not see what the fuss was about. The duck pancakes were dry and tasteless and the honey chicken was doughy with a fishy after taste. BBQ pork was ok. Only saving grace was the friendly staff who went out of their way to provide good service.
