“Expensive but still fun”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

My wife and I visited this beautiful restaurant and were very impressed with the views and the staff. I don't think the view could have been better. The service and food were amazing. We both did the 7 course pairing for $220 each which we both thought after was overpriced. Still it is nice to dress up and spend some money now and then. Over all it was a great experience and very romantic location. The meal can take over 3 hours to finish so you better be patient people.

“Fantastic wedding venue”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Beautiful setting for an excellent wedding celebration. We were there for ur friends' wedding; food/ service were fantastic. Venue was spacious and the outdoor balcony and viewing deck gave the most awesome backdrop to wedding shots. The manager even took the groom's mom back to the hotel as it could be tough to get a taxi near the Rocks on Sat ngiht.

“It is a first class experience”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

First of all the food was amazing, capped off by the snow egg. I won't go into detail on teh food other than to say every course was spot on, balance of flavour outstanding and the texture of each course brought a completely different experience. The views are as others have said amazing but for me the quality of the service, lack of pretension and absolute care made it memorable for me. I fully understand why it is a top 30 restaurant and the best Australia has. Any special occasion would be rewarded with a meal here.
and again.... the snow egg was amazing

“Overpriced and Underdone”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

Booked this restaurant for lunch on the basis of exemplary reputation. Very disappointed in decor, the place being over reliant on setting and views. A few large urns of flowers could have relieved the dreary blandness. Food was adequate but somewhat precious. Enjoyed the entrees, but not the mains, which were by the way the same size as the entrees and like them in shallow bowls with deep centres that meant everything fell in on itself meaning delicate flavours were lost. Snow egg and 9 textured chocolate cake were impressive, but disappointing that deserts were larger than mains. It seemed disproportionate. Staff were universally bored and disinterested except when selling or pouring drinks.

“The special dining”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Our semi-anniversary dining we decided to spend in advance at Sydney Harbour. The best restaurant there is Quay. Perfect staff, excellent wine, almost fine dishes, except of slightly poor mains, made our evening. Amazing chocolate famous cake for dessert!
