Description: Perched on the edge of Sydney Harbour, Manta Restaurant and Bar, located on Woolloomooloo Wharf, has firmly cemented itself as one of Sydney's iconic restaurants. Manta is able to provide guests with a unique dining experience. The incredible view, warm atmosphere, high standard of service and fresh seasonal menu ensures that your experience at Manta is truly memorable. Manta offers a plethora of seasonal seafood dishes sourced directly from Australian and New Zealand waters. Manta is also fast becoming known for its incredible cuts of grass or grainfed beef which are sourced from only the best Australian farmers. Our classically trained head chef, Daniel Hughes, moved to Sydney after a meteoric rise to success in Adelaide. With a heart-felt love of food, Daniel's dishes are instantly recognised and loved for their natural simplicity. Full time sommelier, Lyndon Stenning, has a wealth of experience and has worked in some of the world's finest restaurants. Lyndon is an awarded and acclaimed master of food and wine matching. Manta's wine list includes a selection of current and aged wines; from well-known favourites to more obscure boutique choices. Manta Restaurant and Bar aims to reflect its incredible setting: natural, fresh and inspiring. We hope to welcome you soon.

We actually purchased an offer - $79 for a shared starter, main course each, shared pudding and glass of wine each. The shared starter was delicious - the salmon and the calamari being the stand out. We had the tuna and fried whiting for main. Both were delicious although we were pleased we had included a side. Pudding was a chocolate moose which was decadent - light but very rich and creamy and we were pleased to share! We thought the offer was exceptional value but we noticed they do an equivalent weekend lunch special that sounded great too- we'll definately be back to try this out! Good quality food, nice atmosphere and attentive service.

we had 24 oysters as an aperitif before our starters and boy o boy were they a treat, must have been four different varieties so was nice to compare. Sat outside and it was the place to do some excellent people watching along the wharf. Obviously the place people go to be seen. Service, food and wine were faultless, an excellent place if your prefer the finer things in life.

First visit but this was a special wine tasting event with Piggs Peake and it was a perfect night - top spot by the harbour with a menu primarily based on seafood. Excellent range of dishes with professional and passionate service

We had dinner here on a mild sydney witer evening. The view of the CBD is spectucalur and the ambiance is charming. We thought the food and wine were excellent - interesting, well prepared and lively. We all wanted to try dessert but were way too full so we will have to go back. The service was a little slow but we were enjoying oursleves too much to be too bothered.

Ate dinner here with friends. We shared four entrees which were mostly tasty, although the oysters from Merrimbula were tiny & uninteresting. The main I had of crumbed whiting was satisfactory but little accompanied it & everything underneath the fish was cold by the time it was served. Service was sporadic. The saving of the meal was the desserts which were all amazing. The chocolate mousse with toffee banana sides & apple tarte tartin were rated as the best desserts ever & that was from the two male members of the party. My moulten chocolate dessert was also excellent. Of course the water setting & views towards the city were excellent & we had a warm winter evening to sit outside which was just as well as there were a lot of portable gas burners that had run out of fuel. Overall pleasant but touristy prices & service.
